Three Things...Gratitude Thread

1. Vacation! Love the adventure, change of scenery, and change in daily routine!
2. Watching my adult children and nephew and niece achieve adult goals! It's awesome to see them buying their homes and raising their kids!
3. Trying new things. Not something that happens much as you get older.

Exciting things

God beyond graced me with a Miracle in so many ways on Thursday especially but more developed yesterday. Monday, by His love I I'll get to walk at last towards His return to normal life plan for ne with exactly the angel He intended me to heal with.

Thinking about going home at the end of October God willing much closer to back to normal and to new level flooring.

Disneyland trip in 2026 I pray with my Dad.

Afternoon everyone!

1. Disney vacations - I mean this absolutely has to be on the list as a Disney holiday is the most exciting thing you can do. Only 86 days till my trip to HK and Shanghai :woohoo:

2. Theme Parks - any theme park in general is pretty exciting, whether a day trip or a longer holiday. I'm already so excited for the Universal Studios they're building here in the UK and it won't be ready for 6 years.

3. Escape rooms - I love a good escape room, they're so much fun and often quite exciting trying to make sure you get out in time!

AIRBORNE

1966 carnival ride The Octopus 🐙 🐙 🐙 years of becoming brave to board the yearly Joshua Tree event. It broke down and I was at the very top of the circle height ... hanging in the air... upside down ..20 years later I bought the 1960s VW truck that belonged to Eyerlye.... famous inventor of the attraction that had me airborne

1980 my first airborne of any nature and it was a ride in a cesnna plane ..a ride that will cure you of any commercial turbulence problems. My cousin plane... unfortunately he is well known in Idaho aviation and has a airfield in Stanley Idaho named after him

1983 boarded a cargo military plane as a journalist with USMA cadets travel to armour training Fort Knox... fortunately for me one of the cadet staff of the campus newspaper 📰 📰 was in a official Capacity to drive a private car to pick me up rather than riding a bus of cadets. I wished I had remembered the conversation... for sure we filled the air with talk

of movies ....Rod Lurie has his own wiki page...he wasn't famous then

If MA is your home, or you've vacationed here, or you're a history buff...

Today's Topic (Sun, 8/17) - 3 things you're grateful for about Massachusetts

(We've already done M in this round through the alphabet, but sometimes my Dad asks me how things are in "Chusetts" - so if you don't have a list for MA, do 3 things that start with the letter C. 😄 )

Afternoon everyone!

I've never been to Massachusetts although I'd like to, so I'll go with the letter C.

1. Car - I've been grateful for this a few times but I wouldn't be able to survive without it on a daily basis.

2. Cake - i love to eat cake and i also love to bake it too 😋

3. Coffee - it's what keeps me going in the morning, especially at work :coffee:

Love Boston ❤️❤️❤️

Seafood 🦞 lobster rolls

I took a haunted history tour it was one of the best tours I’ve ever taken it was amazing!! we went to a lot of old graveyard it was just absolutely mind blowing amazing but I like history but to see some of those old headstones it was just so cool

As a kid - visiting relatives in MA as my father had a sister who lived there - we stopped by once on our way home and I got to meet all my cousins as this Aunt had several kids it was great fun we spent a couple days there

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Exciting things:

#1 - FRONT ROW BIKES ON TRON - So exciting and so fun! It’s the best and only way to ride Tron. I’m so glad my DD21 has fun with this too.

#2 - ADR MORNING FOR YOUR UPCOMING WDW TRIP - Being ready at 5am to try and get your ADRs is so exciting and nerve racking at the same time. I remember when you’d have to call - that was even more exciting and nerve racking.

#3 - WINNING SOMETHING - It doesn’t matter what it is and where you’re at, it’s just exciting to win something.

C Things:

#1 - MY MOM - Her name starts with C. She has a terminal lung disease now, so every moment with her is even more special because we don’t know when she’ll be going to her eternal reward.

#2 - CHICAGO - I’m grateful to live close to Chicago. We have so many fun things to do & restaurants to eat at so close to us, and we have some of the best hospitals close to us too. You just have to make sure you leave there before the gun fire starts. It can be a fun and dangerous place.

#3 - COMPFY CHAIR - My big Lazy Boy chair to be exact. DH and I each have one and they are wonderful!

1840 Asa Lovejoy loved his Boston... evergreen hemlock forests stretching as far as the eye could see..a river of snow melt water that was drinkable and Salmon ...oh my just put your hand onto the river and pluck the fish fresh for dinner

.... not so fast Asa.... said Francis Pettygrove in 1844... this is nothing like Boston... this is more like Portland Maine...so a coin was flipped 3 times.... and for that we here are All thankful... imagine all the chaos of 2 major cities named Boston.... Your from Boston... come on and say the word "car"...car...no no the way they say it in Boston....😁😁😁🤔🤔🤔

Movie Good Will hunting 😉 😉 😁

I remember giving my Massachusetts answers before, another time when we did this category, listing places I liked there on vacation. And I see that my favorite restaurant there has apparently gone out of business. Looking at the other category, I thought you were going to say things that start with the letters "ma". Along those lines, I would say Marines, maps, and magazines to read. Or letter c, caring, camera, creativity.
