Something else that I haven't done in a long time..........:rolleyes1 :ssst: :tiptoe:

Hi everyone!

I'm so sorry about the fire! :( :( I'm glad you'll be getting in your home again soon though!

Um, you... yeah you- the one going on the 30 day cruise. Adopt me please. That's all. Carry on.
:rotfl:
30 days?!?!?!???!!! Wowzers!!!

Stacey- I wouldn't hand over my kids birth certificates. For sports here they require you "show" it to them to prove the child's age when they first start (so they know what age group to put them in and in most cases it's for the youngest age group and to make sure they are really old enough to start the youngest age group) but they don't make us GIVE it to them for any amount of time. Literally just showing it to them. Are you mailing this off or something or they require you to give it to them, with copies?!?, then they give it back? I'd probably go get another offical birth certificate at the courthouse or something if possible for you. They don't cost much. :)

Hey you guys- I want to tell you a secret. Listen closely....... I'm getting old!
Big secret huh?
LOL
I'm telling ya- my body ain't made for this kind of stuff anymore! My kids just about wore me out. Went to Six Flags all day (and I do mean all day- 12hrs) on Monday and one day to recouperate isn't enough! All day today (um, Wed- it's still "wed" to me until I go to bed) we went to the water park for 10hrs. Geesh..... I still have blisters on my feet from Monday and now add to that torn up feet and toes (from the walking on cement at the water park), sunburn and some weird unexplained right hip pain. I've never had that hip pain before- that's a new one. I'm getting old I tell ya!

Saturday is Rita's birthday party and my sister mentioned going to her house on Friday to go swimming (so the kids can play together- she was with me at the water park with her kids today too but SHE didn't do Six Flags- I just took her oldest with us to Six Flags). Did I mention Rita wanted her party at Chuck E Cheese's? Ever had a party there and stayed there for hours? That's exhausting in and of itself. I don't think I'm going to survive thru till Sunday. If you don't hear from me next week it's because I've gone comatose and I'm sleeping for days to revive my body.

My Garmin won't work this morning. It just keeps turning itself off.

Since this is the one that I use for running/biking I think it is telling me to go back to bed and not to exercise this morning.

Mornin' Jim - Morning All....Today I need to take the cat to the vet for shots and a check-up.....I have a great vet except his office is no where near we we live so I drop him off when I go to work and pick him up when I come home.....He will hide as soon as I find the cat carrier....little does he know - he is sitting he helping me dis.....silly cat....

I could really use a few more hours in the day - any suggestions?

Meyers makes a decent dark rum.

Go into your local Walgreen's and ask for the dark rum miniatures!!! Wear mismatched clothes when go, it will help!!! :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Ditto to this suggestion -- Do you have an ABC? Crown Liquor Store??? They all carry dark rum minatures....better still get a larger bottle and save it for celebrating Pirates of the Caribbean II.

Sounds like a good idea....our pineapples are about to ripen - but they will all be at once. I thought I counted 8 on Saturday - yummy - homegrown pineapples.....

Not to long ago Mike brought over a big pot with a pineapple plant in it for Lisa. She got two pineapples out of it. Fresh pineapples are the best.

Ok, I feel like you're setting me up here. :lmao:
Seriously, does Walgreen's HAVE such a thing. OBVIOUSLY I don't use a lot of rum (seeing as I don't even know how to buy it) and as I need one whole whopping tablespoon for this recipe, a miniature would be perfect!

Why not? Sounds like a good idea to me!

Do you guys have Trader Joe's up there?

In Columbus. It's about 35 minutes away. Do they have it?

This is sad, people. We are going to lose our Blabbermouth title. :sad1:

Neither of my kids has to be anywhere tomorrow until 4:30...so I just might go to the mall for absolutely no reason other than I can. I can't remember the last time I was there, and I can't remember the last time I went somewhere alone.

:woohoo: :yay: :hyper:

I went to the mall last night while the kids were at VBS. Returned the bathing suit that I got KT for vacation. She wore it twice. On the third time it was so stretched out and lacked all elastic that it wouldn't stay up on her hips! :earseek: Of course, their pickings were slim for a replacement suit so I ended up getting her a rash guard suit. Nick got his shoulders burnt on the cruise and we got him one at WDW and I LOVE IT!!!! Just LOVE it. Besides, I'm saving $$$$$$ in sunscreen!

Don't think we do. At least not those names. Couldn't even tell you where a liquor store was in this town. Our Kroger has an area they gate off at night and on Sundays....I think that's where I want to get to (where all the high test stuff is) but seems like I can only make it over there (you guessed it) at night and on Sunday.

I'll share the recipe in case anyone wants it. The picture of it looks REALLLLLLLLY good (got it from Martha Stewart's "Everyday Food" magazine which is great....I've gotten LOTS of good recepes from there:

ROASTED PINEAPPLE

1 medium pineapple (3 pounds)
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice or ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon dark rum
raspberry sorbet, for serving (optional)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees with rack in upper third. Using a chef's knife, slice off top and bottom ends of pineapple. Following the fruit's natural shape and working from top to bottom, slice off skin in strips; cut away any "eyes." Quarter lengthwise; remove tough core. Cut each quarter into 4 pieces lengthwise.

Place butter in an 8 inch square (2 quart) baking dish, and melt in oven, 6 minutes.

Arrange pineapple in the dish. In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar, honey, pie spice and rum.

Spoon sugar mixture over pineapple. Bake until tender and bubbly, about 1 hour. Serve warm or at room temperature with sorbet, if desired.

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Thursday!

Getting a late start this morning. Lots to finish up at the office before we go away for the weekend.

I told Mike you were probably busy getting ready to leave. Did you get his email?

Speaking of...I think I sent you the wrong picture. Will email out the correct one!!! :lmao:

We don't leave until tomorrow. Yes I got the e-mail and thanks for the reminder I need to write him back. Yes you sent the wrong picture - what a surprise. I'm looking forward to seeing the right one. :lmao:

SHucks. I thought I might have clicked on the wrong one. Going to resend now.

Hey, Pam!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Good morning all!

I went to a beginner scrapbooking class at Michael's last night. I was the only one there. It was more or less to show me the products available rather than how to lay out a page. Oh well! The lady doing it said that she wished she knew that I wanted to do a Disney scrapbook. She lived in FL and personally has tons of Disney stuff that she could have showed me. Oh well! I did buy a few things. This is expensive!!! I spent $60 to hopefully get me started. I'm sure I'll want more.

You might want to find a creative memories consultant. They seem to be pretty good about walking you through things (at least that's been my experience) If you lived closer, you could come here. I have a scrapbook store in my house! ;)

Ohminnie...that recipe sounds fantastic! Can I make it with the freshly-sliced pineapple at the store? Yes, I'm lazy!

Soooo.......BBB...Shelley...how old are you? I'm thinking you're still YOUNG.:) There are crazy people (like me), who still have kids at home and do all that running around who are darn near 50......:faint:

Megan called me last night...she said that after I left the salon on Tuesday (I get my nails done there every other Tuesday, and I get my hair done there...I've known all the gals in there for at least 15 years) anyway...she said that the gals were asking her if I were "okay", and if something was wrong. They said I looked exhausted and depressed.
DUH.
I AM exhausted and depressed!
I'm old, for one thing. I run around like a crazy person, I've had a ton of work to catch up on, AND.....
I had to get off a ship. If that doesn't make you depressed, what does????

So my darling daughter's solution was....."Just do the important stuff, and either leave the rest, or have someone else do it"...........Like that would work. :sad2:

Now she has a new one....MAYBE it's me....maybe not! :) :lmao: :lmao:
