Maggie's missing her recital - dress rehersal is Sat June 3 and performance is Sun the 4th. Her studio alternates yearly between a demonstration (no formal costumes - just studio t-shirt and jazz pants and leotards for ballet) and a full blown recital. This is her 2nd year and would have been her 1st recital. Her teacher was wonderful keeping the few who aren't participating involved in learning the choreography and a part of the class throughout the whole process so, it won't be obvious when they're gone.

4 days of work left for me. I feel a lot better about it after coming in on Saturday. Hopefully nothing big will happen and it will be an uneventful week. Still have house cleaning to do so i don't come home to a messy house.

Ditto for me Mary with the work & house cleaning. Did some work this weekend so I'm hoping my 4 days will be smooth-sailing too. I will try to get a little house cleaning done each night this week.

She wanted to take two special friends down to Galveston for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe and instead of receiving gifts, give gifts to the Ronald McDonald House. I really wanted to honor her wishes because I was so proud of her! (Her Brownie visit must have really meant something to her) But, couldn't get the other two families schedules coordinated with ours this week..Maybe when we return, really dragging out her birthday.

Monica, you should be VERY proud of Maggie. That's a wonderful thing to want to do!

All this talk about clean houses!!!! My neighbor is wonderful, takes care of the cats, gets the mail, keeps an eye on the house BUT she does like to go thru the house. Guess I had better get started!

Hey Jim, I have one bit of packing panic you can help with. Can you check inside the button bag and see if I packed the DIS meet sign. It is a fairly large cardboard sign folded in 3rd's. I don't think it put it in the bag but I can't remember where I put it.

guess it's time to get off...The radio station just ran a news item on the growing concern of internet addiction...

I confess, wandered aimlessly this weekend, lost without the internet and DIS. Even sat playing solitaire trying to log on inbetween hands...The most important week leading up to the cruise and I couldn't get on....

Can you just apologize in advance for your house and explain that you're getting ready for vacation?

As a person who lives TOTALLY on the other side of town I'd LOVE to have someone offer me a place to veg for a few hours. I spend a lot of time wasting time between rehearsals and plays and things like that because it's just too far to drive home and then turn around and come back.

Very true - the sign never made it to the Dec. '04 meet. We had it packed in our checked baggage and the bags didn't come until we were back from the meet.

Angie, just curious what you decided about your day care director and her daughter....

I tried to call her a little ago but she's not in yet. So, I left a message for her to call me. We've become friends over the years so I'm not too concerned about her being upset. Their kids are my kids' ages so we've had them over for get-together's before. I'm sure she'll understand. Besides, I just realized that Emily's dance class doesn't end until 4:45 tomorrow afternoon then we have to be dressed & at rehearsal at 6:40 (30 min. away). So that won't give me much time to get to my house & get ready. Her daughter is in Ashley class; they'll finish up by 4:00.

So, yes, Maria, Typhoon Lagoon will be a definite... just don't forget the sunscreen for that Northeast-sun-deprived-skin!!!!!!

YOU are not kidding!!! After this winter and wet and cold Spring (shouldn't complain, we haven't had a Spring in years), this body could use some nice warm sun. I can't promise you that when you see these legs the glare may blind you. Can't wait to sit on that pool chair and just relax...ahhhhh!

Wish I had time to get a pedicure before the cruise but I've run out of time! Maybe I can sneak one in when we're at my sister's on Fri.

Change of plans for me....I was talking to my neighbor and she recommended me to get my manicure/pedicure on Wednesday NOT Monday. She is going to go with me and that's enough for me. I still want to hear everyone's results.

Can you give me some details about your Sony digital? I've been looking for one, real cheap.

Jim, I just got a Sony digital too. It's the Cyer-shot, DSC-W50, 6 meg, 2.5" screen. It's small, and light. I had an older Sony that was only 2 meg so I just upgraded. I love it. Much smaller than my old one and didn't cost too much. I think I paid about $249 on sale for it.
