But George saw her do it. Poor George, just when he realized that Izzie is McFamily.

BTW,

Are any of you bringing a laptop along?
How do you suggest securing it in the stateroom? (It will not fit in the room-safe)

I posted this question on the main cruise board and have had some looks, but no answers??!!

I got an notice of shipment on Monday the 8th and my eBook came on Saturday. It's pretty thorough, you should enjoy it!!

BTW, what size compact flash card are you using??

I'd be so grateful if it arrives by Saturday! Something for me to read on that long drive down.

We have a 1 gig memory card...I hope that is enough. Jim had a good suggestion regarding the CD burning at the photo shop. I had forgotten that!

What setting do you usually use for image quality? The salesman suggested JPEG Fine at small, medium or large (I forget!). What would you suggest?

We don't "plan" on blowing anything up more than 4X6 (But ya never know when that poster size photo will pop up on your camera!).

And she's hard to shop for... hard to find things to fit her butt/thighs yet not fall off her at the waist. LOL)

Go to Target. I found shorts for Lisa that have elastic in the waistband that is adjustable. This was great for Lisa since she is built like a gymnast / dancer - tiny waist and large thighs. She wears a 7 for the legs, but probably a 5 for her waist. Good Luck.

That's because you went to bed and I watched the tape. I know what happened last night! Isn't is nice of me not to tell you?

Alicia has that complaint, and her waist isn't all that small. She likes belts, thank goodness.

No laptop for us this time either. We all have ipods, and Kevin bought some gigantic memory cards for his camera. I may need to check my e-mail by next Friday though. Hey, Jim? Can I use your computer? Does JB's have wireless connection? I know you won't need it, you will be busy in the trunk of your car.

You can use our computer, but I feel pretty sure JB's does not have a wireless connection. I think they do have a telephone, but that is about it. There is no other store/restaurant/facility for several miles around so you might have to take some time off Ebaying to enjoy JB's.

Susan, we always bring ours. (I like working on our pictures during the trip so I don't have hundreds to do when I get home, and I also use it for my trip journal.) If we hide it at all, which we rarely do, we usually put it in our suitcase under our laundry. We've taken it on all of our Disney trips, and have never had a problem.

A little worried about Elvis, our cat. He's going on a year now with a heart condition, he's been hanging in there. He had a bad spell last week, and we thought we were going to lose him. But he rallied, he's eating again, and being annoying again (which means he feels better). He can't stand being alone, and he can't eat hard food anymore. We have a housesitter, and I hope she's here every night because he needs fresh food and a lot of lap time.

Here's some pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:for Elvis. We're dealing with an aging/ailing pet as well, and I know how that goes. I hope he's OK while you're gone.

Old Navy carries a pretty large line of adjustable waistband clothing for kids. And now, this year, Lands' End is too. (can't remember if LLBean is too, but could be)

A few years ago I complained to Lands' End and LLBean that they didn't have anything in slim (well, Lands' End did, but it was old raggedy jeans)....the both wrote back and said "with the childhood obesity problem, we don't sell enough slim clothes to make it worthwhile....but check out our extensive plus size selections."

Well, DUH....if the REGULAR clothes don't fit my skinny-minnie, I don't think the plus sized clothes are an option!!

It's amazing how much room the pictures can take up on a card. I prefer RAW or Nikon NEF files, but they are huge. On the D200, the uncompressed NEF file is about 16MB. So on trips like this I just shoot JPEG high or fine. It does work well. If there is something that I think needs more, the file type will be changed for those pics and then back to the JPEG.

Do an experiment and change the file format and watch the number of available space change, then decide what might meet your needs. I'm carrying three cards with a total of 8GB and have the option of transferring files to my iPod too.
