5/22/2008 Wonder Cruise!

Did Verandah Man make it onboard???

My DW and I decided to look into buying a DVC resale, so we won't be making the trip to Florida in May afterall. We put an offer in for OKW, just waiting to hear back from the seller. Just got the call as I was typing this, our offer was accepted for the OKW resale!!! :goodvibes

Sail Away meet sounds good to me. 4:30 it is.:jumping1:
I can taste the frosty drinks now!!:drinking1

Awwwww.... too bad you and DW won't be joining us on this sailing.
It would have been a honor to meet you both!

But, CONGRATS on the DVC purchase!:cool1:

Thanks, now I have to get back to work so I can pay for the DVC!!! ;)

Hey Andy, congrats on your purchase and we'll have to catch you on another Disney Cruise sometime. I still owe you a drink for the postcard a few years back. Enjoy your timeshare!

Aunt Donna are you going to lick the chocolate souffle bowl again? I'll be licking the bowl after my ice cream sundae at Parrot Cay.
Here is my list of MUST DO's. What are yours? (everybody)

1. See the new Toy Story show
2. Eat lots of cheeseburgers
3. Order more than one dessert everynight (I'm insulin resistant and taking a few days off of my torture diet)
4. Karaoke
5. Get to Castaway Cay early and stay late
6. Remember NOT to wear the sunblock that I'm allergic to and most of all....
7. KEEP MY BATHING SUIT BOTTOMS ON WHEN I'M SNORKELING! Flashing the entire boat in Mexico was the most embarrassing day of my life.
:rolleyes1

Is anybody dressing up for Pirate pirate: night? My kids want to but not sure how elaborate we should get since it is a short cruise. Any thoughts or suggestions??

ME? Lick the chocolate souffle dish at such a lovely place as Palo? :rolleyes1 Clearly you have me confused with another aunt!:thumbsup2

Disney Sweetie -

For the most part, our family has some pirate-type accessories (vests, t-shirts) from past cruises, so we'll probably bring those, but nothing too crazy.

I think that is what we are gonna do. On my other much longer (2 week) cruises we did dress up more. But I think I will go more simple this time.

Looking forward to meeting you and your family! :)

Pam

Wowsers! this thread finally took off! Glad to see some more DISers on board. We are a party of 2, on our first DCL trip for our honeymoon!

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Cheers,
J

i can't wait to eat the food!! popcorn:: the burgers are the best!! you have to try one. also, try the sundae at parrot cay (my personal favorite!) :thumbsup2

Personal food favorites for me are:

1) Chocolate Souffle ! There's nothing like it.:cloud9:

2) Filet at Palo.

3) The white chocolate Cinderella slipper dessert with the mousse. FABULOUS.

4) Yep, gotta go with the Burgers on Deck 9. Chicken Fingers, too.

5) ROOM SERVICE - Ya gotta do it. No charge, except for the tip. All Hands on Deck fruit and cheese platter, Cookie of the day and MICKEY BARS.:mickeybar

6) The fresh fruit and wraps on Deck 9, too.

Oh wow, HOW could I forget.....

The STRAWBERRY SOUP.
The MANGO SOUP.:thumbsup2

I may have this in reverse, but I'm pretty sure the mango soup is in Parrot Cay at lunch on embarkation day and the strawberry was at one of the dinners (in Tritons/Lumiere's?). Someone correct me (no doubt Kaykels will!)...
but whenever they appear, it's heaven in a bowl.:goodvibes

BTW, Josh, nice to "meet" you, and CONGRATS to you and DF on the upcoming wedding. Is it a Disney wedding?

Not a Disney Wedding persay....but one heck of a Disney Honeymoon!

We're doing a night at the AKL before our cruise, then seven nights back at WDW after the cruise! We're super excited!

Looking forward to getting to know some of you!

As it is our first cruise, we're anxious to learn all sorts of information from you vets!

A warm hello back to everyone, we are just back from our ski holidays in St. Moritz, we had a great time, my little girl won her first race in ski school and is wearing her medall day and night. And the best is, only 4 weeks to go before we fly to Florida for our extended 1-month-holiday. First to Captiva, then Sarasota, then Disney Polynesian and then the Cruise.... to finish we go to Disney Vero beach.

I am really looking forward to see you all and I promise to bring some yummy swiss chocolate for the Sail away get-toghether.

You should see me when I read your postings, first its in english, but then its in Disneyish... I am no DISer and sometimes I really have no clue what you are writting, but hey, I am catching up, and this is my first time on a cruise, let's see in 10 years time....
