 I am impressed with page 1 post 1 !! :thumbsup2

I manage to stay nearly caught up with four threads by keeping them saved in my i-phone and reading when I am in a check out line or waiting for something to load on the computer, etc.

Last night in bed I read the post and saw the cruise logo
:thumbsup2 LOV-ELY WORK!!
and wanted to save the hi-res version to print out. I like the idea of making a couple door magnets in case some go walking. I print them out on photo paper and attach craft magnets to the back instead of making a full sheet of magnet. Many cruise magnets end up on the inside of our condo front door !!
:rotfl: MEM-O-REES !!:woohoo:

anyway

I am at the computer now, wanted to download that link so logged into the DIS, went to USER CP, found the thread in my subscribed list and clicked on the name of the thread.

That brought me to page 1 post 1 and
THERE IT WAS
the cruise logo
and
the link to the hi-res version.

THANKS FOR A JOB WELL DONE!!
ALL OF YOU :thumbsup2

Palo dinner check
Remy dinner check
Atlantis Aquaadventure check

Now the waiting continues...

Watched the Dream leave port yesterday via webcam pretty cool!!!

All checked in... can't believe we're within 90 days. I really am not disappointed to miss Palo or Remy... I really want to spend time exploring the ship and everything "basic" to it. Plenty of time to do the other stuff on a return visit :) Honestly, I feel like we always miss out on so much stuff because we're already doing something. I'd like to hit up the galley tour and a tequila or margarita tasting this time, if they have it. And I'm sure there is some sort of tea party for my daughter so we'll be there as well.

I started the Couch to 5k running program last week and am thinking about doing the Castaway Cay 5k. That's my daughter's birthday though, so I might skip the run... looks like the princess gathering is that morning as well and she might enjoy photos with the princesses on her birthday.

Soooo many possibilities!

I wish we could check in now! Since this is our first cruise with DCL I have to wait until 75 days prior. I really hope we'll be able to book and it's not completely filled up by then. Does anyone know if you're allowed to book Palo or Remy more than once? DH and I would really like to try the brunch and the dinner but aren't sure if you're allowed more than one reservation. I'm also going to book my son into the nursery during his nap times. I hope he sleeps!

I'm sure there is some sort of tea party for my daughter so we'll be there as well.

Is the tea party in the kids club or is it something different that you have to make reservations for? Does it cost extra? My DD 4 LOVES tea parties!

:( The tea parties are only on the 7-day trip.... we have yet to do one but looking forward to when we can!
LOL... I too am doing the Couch to 5K (Iphone app) and want to do the Castaway 5K. Let me know if you decide to do it... I'll run with you!

Thanks so much BubbasMom for keeping track of everyone. I honestly tried, but then life got in the way and things snowballed and all the sudden I'm a horrible slacker and everythings going on without me!! :headache: I never did get your PM though :confused3 I hadn't logged in for so long, maybe it got deleted? Anyway, we are soooooooo excited about the upcoming cruise, and have so much to catch up with our fellow cruisers. My biggest fear....that it will snow before we catch our plane. Colorado is nortorious for late spring (May) snowfalls.

Trying to think of special things to do for me & DHs anniversary. I was hoping for maybe Remy reservations...but not sure if we'll be happy with 9 courses of "Elf food" that we don't recognize :scared1: Then there's the whole thing of not wanting to miss out on any of the regular dining rotations, all the restaurants look so nice. I guess if I had to give up one, it'd probably be the Royal Palace.

Anyway, I need to get busy and back tracking on the posts and getting to know everyone. Can't wait to meet you'all, and hope we can plan some type of DISmeet! :yay:

We booked Remy for night 3 at 6PM, a spa shave for the spouse, and the Sea Lion Encounter in Nassau. W00T!!!
:cheer2:

What's a spa shave? My DH has a shaved head (Not "Bald", he likes to point out, but hairless by choice :rolleyes1 ) I wonder if this is something he'd like.

Great idea! I signed up too- thanks for doing this!

May I also add- I know I've said this earlier in the thread, but as a reminder- Ryan and I should have a TON of wedding cake leftover that we can't take off the ship. So, even though I we aren't able to participate in the FE due to no time and money, we'd like to be able to let you all know when/where we'll set up the left over cake so you can help us eat it.

Kim, this is just such a generous offer, I wish you and Ryan a lovely wedding and much happiness. Sorry I haven't written for a long time, I hope your plans are coming along wonderfully. :bride:

My TA just email me and we got everything we wanted!
Nassau- Catamaran Snorkel 9:15-1:15
Castaway Cay- extreme getaway and tandem parasailing 3:30-4:30
At sea day- Palo brunch 11:30
DCL's wedding coordinator hasn't booked our Palo dinner yet, but it will be on Castaway Cay day

So glad you were able to get everything you wanted!! I can't wait to try the tandem parasailing, I hope it's not all booked at 75 days out!

Has anyone done the glass bottom boat on CC or the submarine in Nassau? I really want to do the dolphin encounter, but DH wants us to do the submarine (better for the whole family he says, which he is probably correct).

So excited I can hardly stand it, will be our first vacation in 7 years...CRAZY.

Also we will be doing WDW after the cruise for a few days, anyone else doing that?

Not the glass bottom boat at CC, but we want to do the catamarand snorkel adventure.

Well I finally have booked our flights for this cruise. Boy oh boy was I getting worried about the flight prices after hearing all the good prices other people were getting from BUF.....but I got it booked!!!!! And I am happy with the price....just hope flying out of buffalo is a easy as others have said. Does anyone have any tips or ideas of where is it that I park and how much it will cost? We are going for May 14-22.

Thanks

We did the Glass bottom boat excursion on Castaway Cay - it was nice. The boat was not too big and not too small. My son who was 9 at the time really enjoyed it. We were happy we did it at Castaway... The year before on our first DCL sailing, we did the Sunshine Glass bottom boat tour in Nassau - and that boat was just plain scary - and was less than impressive, and not what I expected of a glass bottom boat - but for what they charged for it, I couldn't really complain - the ride to the viewing area was a nice little tour and in itself was worth the price of the excursion. Of the 2 glass bottom excursions - I definitely recommend the Castaway excursion over Nassau.

I will be in WDW for a few days after also - gotta get my park fix while I am so close!!!

Roll call is now up to date! I know there must be more lurkers out there... come on out and introduce yourselves!

Anyone given any thought to a cruise meet? Not sure how logistics will work on the new ship... we tried a meet on embarkation day @ 3 pm by the pool on our last cruise but hardly anyone showed up. I think everyone was too sucked into whatever they were doing at the time.

Does the airport have a website? Can you do an Internet search of airport parking to find out about nearby private lots? Do you have a phonebook that would help? (I do not know how far away you live.)

We live about 15 miles from the Indianapolis airport so our options are drive and park, take a taxi or take a city bus and walk a half mile. When we take our car we park in the airport longterm parking not a private lot as we are more comfortable with that, but many use private lots.

Good luck with this leg of planning!!
Cruise is getting closer!!!

I hate to say this, as I was so looking forward to meeting all of you, but it doesn't look like we'll be taking the cruise after all. We've been having a lot of trouble getting in touch with the cruise lines' wedding coordinator- it would take weeks to get the simplest questions answered. So, we started looking into other DFTW options, and realized that with the current promotion, we could have an Escape for the same price. The Escape also includes photography and annual passes, so we're actually saving quite a bit of money by switching- so much in fact that we can upgrade from Pop to POR and extend the trip by 4 days. Joe from DFTW has been absolutely amazing, and has Sunset Pointe on hold for us. It's still beach-y, but with a fantastic view of the castle, space mountain (on clear days Slash Mtn too), the Grand Floridian, and the Contemporary. As a bonus, I can ride the monorail in my wedding dress ans we can visit the parks after the wedding.

I was really looking forward to meeting all of you, and thank you for all the help you've given us- answering questions and such. I am disappointed that we won't be on the cruise, but we get a lot more for out money this way PLUS we aren't treated like a burden. I wish you all a fantastic sailing!!

Kimmy, I'm so sorry that you haven't been treated right by the Cruise Wedding Planners!! I think you are going to absolutely love your Escape Fairytale Wedding...and who knows, maybe you can celebrate with an anniversary cruise next year!! So what is going to be your wedding date now? Are you still sticking to May? Best wishes, I hope every one of your dreams come true!
