OK all you 5/11 cruisers, who booked on board and for when?

We did for 5/17/03 Eastern Cruise

Was the onboard offer much better than if you booked at another time, using just Early Booking Savings?

Do you recall comparison prices?

thanks

The only extra savings giving onboard was a $200.00 onboard credit per cabin. Price is the same if I entered it on website

DH and I booked on board and got the savings and 200 credit. We are also going on May 17, 2003 cruise.

My parents didn't book on board, but booked Sunday evening and the savings (rate) you got on board was for on board.

They ended up paying a little more than we did, same category and connecting room to us again. The difference was $300. That is not including the $200 credit they have missed out on.

Glad to hear that there are other DIS'ers going on the 17th next year.

:D

We booked for 05/17/03!!!! The savings for booking on board was quite substantial, plus a $200.00 stateroom credit!!!!

Can't wait to sail with the Dis'rs again.

Wow Laura, It was more for the same category as you? Did they check DCL's site before booking? As my price I got and DCL's site was the same, but then of course I got the $200 credit. Too bad they won't give them the credit for missing it by one day. Glad to see you rebooked for 5/17/03. Sounds like another fun time in the making.

Bunnymom, Sorry I missed you on board, can u believe how we could miss each other, even though we are all in green.

Joe and Joanne also booked 5/17/03, saw them on board after we booked and they mentioned they rebooked also for the same date.

Have to get a trip report together

Joanna

The price is the same online and what I received on board. The only difference was the $200 credit on board.

When I saw the price list it failed to mention the quoted price didn't include port charges and government charges at the top, you have to look at the fine print.

Anyway, DM tried to convince them to give them the onboard credit but told them no, only onboard can you receive it.

Oh well..

Remember that there is always the SpringTime Magic discounts that happen during that time.

For the past two years we have done the same. We make the reservation, but between February and March the Spring Time Magic discount gets mentioned. We call in and get the discount added to our rese and bam.. we got $800 off this past cruise! :D

So, I hope they will have that same discount next year.

:Pinkbounc :bounce:

I hope so also for the STM. That would be WONDERFUL oh no, wait, I mean MAGICAL. LOL

we rebooked onboard for the may 10th 2002 western,
maybe we change it if enough people r on the 17 th just picked that date so that we could get on board credit of 200.00
will probably transfer reservation to dreams and get a lower price and another credit ??

can i do that ? peter
