DW, DD4 & I will be cruising 4/26 in a cat 8. MIL recently retired and we thought maybe she would like to join us. I was surprised when they quoted me a rate of approx $750 for her (no air or transfers). Does this sound right for a 4th person in the same cabin?

According to the Cruise Line book we got from AAA, the price for a 3rd, 4th and 5th guest for a 7-night cruise (which the April 26 one is, right?) ranges from $599 to $1,499 so $750 sounds about right for a Cat 8. The prices quoted do not include tax, transfer or air. Hope this helps. Maybe someone more DIS literate can help you with things you can do for some savings. This will be our first Disney Cruise and I've learned a lot from the experts on this board.

That sounds about right, I think. Kids 3-12 are the same regardless of cabin category, if I remember correctly......$399 is listed often for the children's price. Kids 13-17 are more and charged as a 4th person, not a child. I just wish I had gotten to pay the reduced 4th person fare at all....we had to get 2 cabins so we paid for 4 adults and a child instead of 2 adults and 3 children's fares.

If you check on the DCL site, put in the existing 3 people on the trip and write down the price. Then put the 4th in and see if the difference is what you were quoted. You might have lost some of the early booking savings by not securing her place origionally.
