4th of July

This year we will be in the parks from 7/1 - 7/9.

Are they any special 4th of July celebrations, other than a larger fireworks display?

How bad are the crowds really?

Does Disney put up a lot of the red-white-blue to celebrate? How are the parks decorated?

The fireworks displays are special and are on youtube.

We've been a couple of times on the 4th, and other than New Year's Eve, the evening was the most crowded we'd ever seen MK. One year we watched the 4th of July fireworks on the 3rd and went to DHS on the 4th. Honestly, I think DHS's fireworks/music show was the best of the bunch. EPCOT's is just an extended Illuminations, with a tribute show tacked on at the end. All are good, but be ready for standing room only in MK.

Its crazy packed and crazy hot. We did it once when I was a teen-it was fun. Just bring lots of lotion. The castle will be red white and blue lighting and alot of red, white & blue fireworks. It'll be fun but be prepared for really long hot lines.

It is the most packed I have ever seen...even at Christmas. And sooo hot!
