Las Vegas 4th of July in Las Vegas

Hi Everyone,

We are planning to be in Las Vegas for 4th of July next year and I wondered if anyone could comment on what special events they have on - fireworks etc.

Was there for July 4th 06 and 07 no special fireworks on the strip. Maybe it has changed.

I cant remember if the strip had anything, all the station casinos have fireworks.They have many casinos all over town. there are fireworks at the 51's minor league baseball games. Google red white and boom, it is put on at a local park and thats all I can remember. We buy fireworks and set them out at home.

When I was a kid, we used to have "cracker night" in Australia where we would save up our fireworks and the whole neighbourhood would be letting them off - it was so much fun. Unfortunately, there is a law that now says the general public are not allowed to own or set off fireworks anymore. It is such a shame because we never got to share such a fun experience with our children.

Mandalay Bay does a 4th event at their beach area with fireworks and bands. This is a ticketed event. Watched a live feed of it this last 4th and it looked like a good time.
