4th of JULY in Disney????

I am also going over the 4th of July. We planned on spending the 4th at MGM. Is that park generally less crowded than MK or EPCOT that day?

I was actually working at MK during the summer of 2000 in custodial. It was very busy. Things really picked up as early evening approached. I remember having lines of people surrounding me, ready to ask their questions. MK opened up a few backstage exits in order to allow people to leave the park more safely. At one point, Main Street was closed off due to the number of people in that location. It just gets really busy. I remember during the fireworks that it was so conjested that you could barely even walk around. It is a fun day though, and the fireworks at MK are cool as they are perimeter fireworks. My friends seemed to like Epcot's much more, though! Have fun!!

We are going during the 4th too. We are prepared for the worst. We are avoiding MK. Ak is probably the safest park. We are going to MGM. Epcot is probably less crowded but still filled. AK seems like the smartest choice. Them MGM, then Epcot, and if you have to MK!

We are also planning on doing things outside the parks during the 4th. Boating, DTD, shopping. There is so much disney outside of the parks.

Good Luck! I'll see you there!::MickeyMo

I am still so confused at where I am going to be on the fourth.... I wish I could decide.. seeing as it is my first trip to Disney, I don't want to miss out on the amazing show at MK, but the crowds worry me... I just don't know what I am going to do.. This is the only thing that is truley making me worry about the whole trip.
