4th of July Fireworks

I'm assuming Disney does a special show for the 4th. Do they only do one on the 4th or is there one say on the 3rd too?

Also how early would one have to get to the park to see the show from inside the park? Can it be seen from outside the park?

They have the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks at the MK on the 3rd and 4th. I think its better to see it inside the park, but it will be packed and I think you will have to be there all day. I have heard that they actually stop letting people in if it gets to capacity on the 4th. Therefore, we are going to be in Epcot that day, although DH is sad cuz he wanted to see the fireworks

I saw the fireworks at MK (all there was then) on July 4, 1976. While I was only 6 and fireworks must be better in 2006 - I will never forget how amazing they were. No fireworks have compared yet!

If you really want an amazing 4th of July show...

Watch "Fantasy in the Sky" in the MK on the 3rd, then on the 4th, watch the fireworks in MGM (these are rare and great!). After the MGM fireworks, book it over to EPCOT via the walkway and catch an awesome extended version of "Illuminations". We did this last year, and it was truly unforgetable!

Whatever you do, don't miss the MK fireworks--they are amazing and go off from five different spots on the 4th (and 3rd). So if you're not able to do the MK on the 3rd, save it for the 4th. Also, if you make it over to EPCOT, be sure to walk around WS after the show--the America pavillion is beautiful during this time, and if you look across the lake at SE, there's a special laser message on it! Have a great time--this is the first 4th I've missed in several years--can you tell I'm going to miss it?! =)

I'm looking forward to the New Year's fireworks now!
