4th of July firework viewing

We are booked in a concierge room at the contempory on 4th of July. Is the view good enough to watch the fireworks forbthe lounge or should be book a dessert party in MK? We have a 3 and 6 year old. So it seems nice to be able to watch from the resort and not have to fight crowds.

Stick to the resort. You should be able to enjoy the fireworks from the lounge and with a 3 and a 6 I'd avoid the walls of people at MK.

I’m assuming you don’t have a Theme Park View room booked? The CL lounge is a great place to watch the MK fireworks. Especially July 4th since they shoot fireworks off all around the MK and from an island in the middle of the Seven Seas Lagoon. You’ll have a great vantage point.

The only problem to watch out for is that there is only so much lounge balcony space to watch the fireworks. It’s going to likely be a popular spot for those that don’t have a theme park view room. The lounge has three balcony sections which are the same size as the balconies of the rooms. I have not done CR on 7/4, but I could see balcony space being at a premium that night.

Ok so follow up question. Would poly or club level be an even better view? We are only doing the one night, and then moving on to our dvc room. So price doesn' matter. Just view!

The view from Poly will be similar, but obviously a different angle. I personally prefer the more “head on towards the MK” view you get from Poly, especially for a special fireworks show like 7/4.

Assuming they continue it this year, on 7/4 there will be a reserved section of the Poly beach set up with chairs for CL guests. This is great if you have a CL Garden View room and don’t face the MK.

In my humble opinion, for a one night CL splurge on a special fireworks night like 7/4, Poly CL is the way to go. Great longhouse location, reserved beach seating, festive lounge offerings that evening. Had a fantastic time last year.
