4th of July Best Park to be in if not hopping

Assuming we want to avoid the madness of MK...what are some suggestions and/or tips for other parks? Also which of the other ones do anything extra for 4th of July if any.

Almost certainly Animal Kingdom Theme Park. It consistently gets the lowest crowds of the four Parks, that theory should hold on the 4th of July.

My suggestions and tips for the other three parks would be to steer clear of them. That means the surrounding roads too, for traffic.

This is a rebound year after the pandemic, and more people are traveling to the parks.

Below is a picture of the 4th of July during a "normal" year:

WOW that is packed to the gills. I've on Main Street when it's been very crowded but that looks like most of Orlando is there. Now I'm assuming even with park reservations Disney doesn't really care to limit people that much so it'll probably still get that bad. Is this first hand experience you speak from? Have you been there on July 4th at any of the parks? I'm wondering if Animal Kingdom does anything special for the 4th. Would love to get the feel of the holiday without maybe getting trampled at the same time.

I don't know if I can really give you any tips but I can give you my experience (we don't normally do extras). We went to Hollywood Studios during the morning of the 4th in 2019 and then headed to Epcot that evening for dinner and the fireworks.

I really don't like crowds (almost mandatory breaks during the afternoon when it's really crowded 😂) and other than Thanksgiving Day years ago, I've tried to avoid booking trips during holidays. However, I will say that Fourth of July 2019 was one of our best trips, hands down. We stayed at Yacht and had the dining plan 🥲 and it was amazing.

I've seen pretty much all of the fireworks shows and the fireworks for the 4th at Epcot were very, very good. Was it crowded? Yes. But we found a nice spot by the UK Pavilion and it was nice being able to walk back to the room after the show. I remember thinking, "Oh that wasn't so bad!" as we left. In fact I felt more confident about handling Disney crowds after that.

If you want to ride 10+ rides per park with less than 30 minute waits then no I wouldn't suggest it on the 4th. But we normally ride 4 or 5 per park, take a break and then head back to a park for a few more rides, dinner and fireworks. And fortunately when we went it was when FastPass+ was still a thing so we were able to get a lot more done. The best park in my opinion for that day would be Epcot.

Was probably planning to stay at Dolphin maybe so Epcot actually would make a lot of sense. So you would say it was manageable then! That's good to know. During the day was HS completely packed or did you also feel like that was OK enough where you didn't feel like you could barely move anywhere.
