4th JULY !!

So what does everyone do on 4th July ? How busy do the parks actually get ?

Been twice in October but this is the first time during the summer (school holidays mean October no good).

Have a Flexiticket (so not 'wasting' a day) so thought about either

i) Going to US all day just for the atmosphere, or
ii) Going shopping and then going to US at night

Any suggestions or comments appreciated.

Been twice during 4th July.

The parks (especially MK) get very crowded quickly.

The first time we aimed to stay in all day and watch the firework display but by early afternoon it was so packed it just wasnt fun so we left , aiming to return later in the evening. After an afternoon by the pool we returned only to find the par k was full and closed and they were not letting in anyone, even re-admissions for that day.

We ended up watching the fireworks from our hotel balcony - which was very good. On 4th July they have extra ones going off between the parks and all at the same time so the whole skyline across WDW was one big display. (remains to be seen if they still do that now though)


The 2nd year we did pretty much the same thing. One alternative is however to go to one of the local events that are hel. There is a big one in downtown Orlando that includes a fair, bands and a fireworks display etc etc.

We were in the MK on 4th July last year. We were going on the Keys to the Kingdom tour so we had to be in early. Park got very crowded very quickly. By mid after the park was absolutely jam packed. I have never seen so many people at the one time. That being said we had a fab time!!!
