4th july?

This will be the first time in Orlando over 4th of July. What should we plan to do that day? I'm not good with it being overly crowded, so would avoiding a park be a good idea or should we head to the beach for the day?

We were there for the 4th July this year, we decided to go to Epcot thinking it would be quieter but it was heaving around the world showcase with people queuing for the fireworks many hours before, we ended up going back to the hotel (pop century) and was pleasantly surprised to have a brill view of the Hollywood studios firework display there!

We were in the Magic Kingdom on the 4th July this week. We arrived for park opening and the morning was not too crowded. We had a reservation at CRT for 2pm which provided us with an hour and a half break.

We got on loads more rides etc in the afternoon, we managed 17 rides during the day and our longest wait was 25 minutes. We ate at Columbia Harbour House around 7pm, very quiet.

We made our way to watch the fireworks around 8pm and then realised how busy the park was. We saw the fireworks but not from main street as you couldn't move but that was our fault for leaving it to late. However, we had a great day and the crowds were definitely fine, have been in the park for Christmas day and Easter before and it was no busier so I would highly recommend the Magic Kingdom as it was a great day.
