4th July holiday

Just wanted to know do you actually get the 5th July off as a holiday being that the 4th July falls on a Sunday. (in Australia that's how public holidays normally work). i was wondering this to work out how hard it will be to book a hotel if we are on the coast of California.

Not sure about booking, but yes the 5th is also the holiday this year.
