4th FP strategy question?

Hi all, it’s been 3 years since we visited WDW. At that time, we could only make a 4th FP by visiting a kiosk in the park after we had used our 3. I know we are now allowed to schedule additional FP via the MDE app. My question is... do we have to wait until we’ve used all 3? Any strategies regarding this? Thanks so much!!

Yes, you have to wait till you've used all three, or the third one has expired. As soon as we tap through on #3, I schedule the next one on my phone while we go through the line.

Yes you have to use the first three then you can book additional passes one at a time through the app. There are different strategies but in general I try to book and use the first three as early as possible. You can also try to change the times looking for earlier slots for instance if you use fp#1 and now have 1.5 hours until fp#2 use the app to look for an earlier time for fp#2. Do the same for fp#3 to use them up earlier. As soon as you tap in for fp#3 you can start looking for fl#4 etc.

Another tip is if you get to your fp attraction and the wait is 10 minutes you may want to wait standby and try to change your fp to a different attraction.

Bottom line is use the app and the ability to modify fp times and attractions to your advantage.

It actually is easy and works pretty well. We look and see what is available that we want and as soon as we tap for that third FP we click on a 4th one. If it’s not the time you want, refresh the page over and over. And often more times will appear. As soon as you use that fourth one.... keep repeating and refreshing. If you ever end up with one you decide you don’t want, go to the attraction and just tap on it so you can more on to a new one. If you decide to leave the park for a break, as soon as you do the last FP at that park, add one for whatever park you will visit later in the day. Also keep an eye on your FP app, sometimes you will get a bit of magic and an extra FP will appear. Also watch in case one of your FP ride is down, you may be offered an any attraction FP. Sometimes it will exclude a few high choice attractions but not always. We rope drop every park and schedule FP for 10-11=12,moving them up as we can.

I totally agree with this. As soon we tapped our third FP+, I'd start looking for our 4th and so on. I was able to get FP+ for a lot of the rides in MK, TT and Soarin' at EPCOT, and TSM and RR at HS. Sometimes it took a lot of refreshing, but eventually a time would pop up that I wanted. Didn't try to get a 4th FP+ at AK. We were a party of 2.

We also had rides go down while we were there. At EPCOT the only ride that was excluded was Frozen. At MK, the only ride that was excluded was 7DMT. The only time 7DMT was included was when we had a FP+ for it and it went down, then we could use our anytime FP+ for it. There was a CM telling everybody in line that unless they had a FP+ for 7DMT, the anytime FP+ would not work. It may be the same for the Frozen ride in EPCOT.
