4th FP, different park

We fly down tomorrow. (Yay!) Just trying to make sure I have all of my facts straight. We are RDers. I schedules our FPs for late morning thru early afternoon. We usually leave our morning park in the afternoon, go back to resort for a couple of hours, then head to a different park. If I understand correctly, one person linked in our MDE group can go to the kiosk and book 4th FP for the whole party. Do all in our group have to enter the park to do this? Can one person go to our evening park right after we leave our morning park and book 4th FP for later, or do we all have to be physically in to park to do this?

when i was there may 14-21 I left MK and went to epcot while the rest of my party of 8 went to the animal kingdom lodge for naps and pool time. I took the monorails over, went intot he park and easily booked soarin for my party after dinner for all 8 of us and the other 7 hadn't stepped foot into epcot yet...but we did ALL have used 4 fastpasses up at MK already...
