4th Fireworks

We will be arriving at Disney tomarrow afternoon and do not want to start the parks until Monday. Where would be a good place to watch the 4th fireworks from outside of the parks? Are fireworks on the 4th about the same as the normal MK display? Thanks a bunch! Crystal

Tomorrow nights MK fireworks are going to be the biggest display that MK has done to date. It will be Fantasy in the Sky (not Wishes) but they will have the perimeter fireworks (360 degrees around the park) as well as the normal launch sight behind toon town and the castle launches that they use in Wishes. They are also planning to launch some from the island in the lake in front of MK. It starts at 9pm and is approx 10 minutes long. If you can get in somewhere around the lake it should be a great view...however unless you are staying at one of the hotels or have priority seating they generally will not let you park there (that is if you have your own car).

We celebrated the 4th at WDW in 2002 . . .ohhhhhh how I miss it!

We were staying at GF and could see from our room, but there were a ton of people over by the boat launch at GF.

The display was excellent! They shot off all around 7 Seas Lagoon as well as from Cinderella's Castle . . .

Thanks for the replies! It sounds wonderful! I will call around and find out what restaurants are available for this evening. I wouldn't even mind paying to park at the ticket and transportation center and watching from the ferry launch. We have watched other fireworks from there on our way out of the parks before.
