Circuit City has it out the door for $149 and $80 in rebates.

circuit city 4gb microdrive

Just thought I would let those interested know.

NOTE.
Please do not turn this into a "microdrives are terible" thread, they are not for everyone.

Microdrives are not the fastest or most durable media cards around, in fact older generations were considered quite fragile. In the past few years they have made great improvments and MILLIONS of these microdrives have been put into IPOD minis and other MP3 players(muvo for sure). My kids always jogged with the Ipod mini.

Speed and durablity has improved but they are not solid state memory, moving parts will NEVER be as durable as solid state.

I have been using one 2gb since 2004 and have never had issues with it, I have dropped it onto wood floor twice(expected the worst) and it is still ticking. And that was two generations ago.

So if you need huge storage and are willing to concede some speed, this is for you.

YES!! :cool1: I bought mine on Monday, what a great deal..they were $499 when they first came on the market.

I have two 2 gb microdrives and am very happy with them. Regarding their "fragile" nature, lots of things break when you drop them so...don't drop your microdrive! :D
