4days left, what should I do?????

I rented from a DVC member. Everything went smooth and I recieved my confirmation letter. On the rental agreement it said that I could call SSR to confirm my reservations 3-5 days prior to arrival. I called yesterday and SSR gave me # to call someone else(reservation line I believe). Then that person put me through to MS which of course told me they could not give me any information because I am not a member!! AAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!! What do I do? I trust the DVC member I rented from and I have everything I need to find/contact her if there's a problem - but I know sometimes things go wrong at the resorts with reservations and I always confirm before leaving on a trip. MS told me I could call the DVC member and do a 3 way call, but I really don't won't to bother her. Should I just trust that everything will be ok? Should I try SSR again? I don't know what to do. Please help me

Really, 3-way call to MS is no biggie...

Also, carry cell phone number of the Member with you, in case you have unexpected problem during check-in. But you should be fine....

Get the 3-way call so you can relax.

You won't be able to talk to Member Services if you are not a member. And it's been reported that the resorts have not always confirmed the reservation, especially if they are busy when you call.

If you have had a good relationship with the member, just take it on faith that your reservation is there. If you haven't talked to the member by e-mail or on the phone since you made the reservation, you may want to contact them again.

Even a three-way call is no confirmation. If the person you rented the reservation from wanted to cheat you, they would fake the call. Or they could change the name on the reservation to someone else after you hung up.

Contact the person you rented from, ask them to confirm via DVC web site and copy and past the info into an email for you ..if you see it on-line you're all set!!

Thanks to everyone for the help. I did contact the member, and she told me that the resorts usually do not get the reservation info until 2-3 days before arrival and that I should try again tomorrow. I think I read that somewhere else on these boards, so I think it sounds correct. I'll try again tomorrow.

Please let us know what you find out. I'm leaving Saturday and would like to confirm before I leave home, too
