$49 Value hotel rate!! How do I get it???

Late August, using BAT, I booked ASMo for 4 nights (12/19 - 12/23) at $55/night plus tax and have since read on this board about people getting a $49 rate at value resorts.
Can I change my current ressie and apply the $49/rate. If so, what code do I use and what are the conditions?

I do not have an AP, or AAA, or am a Florida resident but was wondering if somehow I could secure this less expensive rate.

Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.


The rest of the family still thinks we are staying off site and I don't know if I can keep this secret until we drive into WDW 12/19. I am exploding inside trying to keep this info. to myself. But I know it will be worth it. The look on DS4's face when he sees the Toy story section will be magic in itself.

That is the new code that was advertised in the Globe and Mail!

I got the rate because they sent me a personalized postcard. Keep checking the mail, maybe you'll get one.

Mousesavers.com says BBE is for Canadian residents and is the same as BAT.

"Canadian Resident October-December Room-Only Discount Code

Canadian residents can ask for Code BBE and get special discounted rates at select Walt Disney World resorts for check-ins 9/30/04-12/25/04. These discounts are supposedly not available for check-ins 10/17/04-10/20/04, 11/10/04-11/13/04 and 11/23/04-11/27/04.

Rates are the same as with Code BAT.

You must book by 10/10/04. Proof of residency required at check-in."

That would work for the OP.

That $49 rate is without tax..so it ends up being approx $55 per night

THe BAT rate I got was $55 plus tax. Does that mean I can use BBE and get $49 plus tax????????

The $49.00 plus tax rate is for AP holders or FL residents. All other codes are giving the $55.00 per night plus tax rate. The BBE will give you the $55.00 plus tax rate, which is the same as the BAT.

I think you got a fabulous rate, for that amount of money I wouldn't stress about changing it.

I am not an AP holder. I got the $49 rate in an emial from Disney. It had a pin number which I had to give to the CM in order to get that rate.

Have you been a past guest of WDW resorts? I have been a guest in the past but did not get a postcard or e-mail. I called and mentioned this and the CM confirmed that yes I was on the "direct mail offer" list. So I was eligable for the $49 + tax rate. This is for the dates of Nov 12-18.

This might be worth a phone call if you have been a guest in the past or have perhaps requested WDW vacation info (are you on that e-mail list?). Just ask if you are on the direct mail offer list. Good luck!

I have stayed onsite, and have not rec'd a postcard mailing either. We are planning a surprise trip for my DGDs Nov 3-8 and would love to get the $49 rate. What tele # do I call?

I only recieved spoted post cards during the times I'm not going...In 8 yrs I've probably recieved 3 post cards...never could use any...but if I need a great rate AP usually comes through..
