48 Hour Sale on Southwest.Com

Southwest is always best to book flights oneway, make it alot easier when changing reservations when you see a lower price.

Because if you don't and one of the legs is more expensive then you are previously booked at and then you go to change the whole flight you will be stuck having to book the one leg at the higher price.

This is untrue. When you go to change your flight, you only have to make the change to the one direction to get the credit.

Go to Change Air Reservation under Travel Tools. Enter your travel information. Select ONLY the direction which you wish to change and continue with the process.

I used to be under the same false impression, but I spoke with an SWA agent who told me to do this. I've since been able to get TTF on one direction of my flight. I wish I had have known in the past as I've NOT tried before because one direction had gone up when the other went down. I could have gotten the TTF but I had made a wrong assumption so I didn't request it.

Interesting, never knew that, next time I will have to give that a try.......that is if I ever take the chance and book a round trip.:confused3

I came to post this deal. I am flying from So Cal to MCO for $215 a ticket ROUND TRIP WITH TAXES. What a Deal.

I too came to post this deal. Saw the email a few hours ago and checked to see if the flights I booked about a month ago qualified. Yippee! Both of my flights from ONT to MCO were only $90 each way! :cloud9: I was getting ready to leave for an appt. so I asked my DSis to call and see how to get the refund. By the time I left she had taken care of it by using the Travel Tools previously mentioned. She called the 800 # and it told her what to do.

When I originally booked our flights were $139 e.w. (I think) total $836.70 for 3 of us. New price......$662.70. We now have a SW credit of $58 x 3 which is a savings of $174! :woohoo:

We have been booking Delta over the last few years to MCO but now that you have to pay for all luggage I just couldn't do it. Just the savings on 3 bags alone is $90.

So our trip in Sept. is costing us $220 each, which is the best price we've had in years for flying from Calif. to Florida. Back in Jan. 05 we flew Song (now Delta) for $89 e.w. (plus fees) direct from LAX to MCO. That was an amazing rate! This is even better since ONT is so much closer to our home-only about 1/2 hour on the freeway. When we flew out of LAX we had to allow 3 hours from departure time.

Now if Alamo will just drop their rates. :goodvibes

We are in Irvine. No 90 rate on our Saturday booking dates. We went out of LAX because the times were good and you can't beat 90 bucks.

OC never seems to have the cheaper flights. We could leave out of either OC or ONT. (we're in Corona). Besides being a little farther out of LAX, it's harder to get one of my DSis's to take us, and pick us up from the airport. ONT is just so much easier.

Next time you might want to check ONT. It's not that far from Irvine and it's a dream to leave out of. If someone is dropping you off they can basically park across the street from the terminal. No parking structure. :goodvibes No direct flights from ONT to MCO (no carriers) though. I know some carriers are direct to MCO from LAX. (Delta for one)

We'll be at WDW some of the same time you'll be. We're leaving on Sat. the 12th and returning on Wed. the 23rd. We'll be there over DD's 10th and my DM's 70th birthdays. You're actually flying on DD's birthday.

it used to be that way, but SWA has changed the system .. you can only change a portion of your trip if you want.

Ok, I'm sure that someone can answer this faster than the time that I have been waiting on hold for SW!!! I want to book- it would be $60 onw way & 109 to fly home (both on the "wanna get away") if they go lower --which I am always hoping they will :rolleyes1 can I get a refund for the difference??--thanks, I have been on hold w/SW for 10 minutes now:surfweb:-----FORGET MY QUESTION----IF ONLY I HAD READ ALL OF THE POSTS THEN I WOULDN"T NEED TO HAVE PUT IN MY QUESTION :-)) I'm going to book tomorrow morning! yeah!

My sister saved $295 on her Nov SMF - MCO.
Our friend saved $236 on her Nov SMF - MCO.

We snagged $60 RT SMF - SNA for our Oct Halloween Disneyland trip. :woohoo: Thank You SWA!

For those that didn't find anything earlier, you might want to check again as SNA (Orange County) wasn't added until this evening. I booked LAX around 3PM and when I got home from work I was checking for my daughter and found SWA extended the sale to include Orange County so I promptly changed our flights to SNA.

Rebooked today with SW and saved $660 for 7 tickets!!!!!! $90 each way from Seattle to Orlando!! I was just praying for $99 each way which is the cheapest I have ever seen it for. Doing the happy dance..hoping pixi dust to everyone out there look for a deal.

That is a great deal for Seattle. My wife and I are from Seattle and that is crazy cheap. We are having her family fly on the Alaska Non-stop but I may change that for that price!! It is hard up there with one airport. We have 6 here So Cal which I feel helps with prices.

I have been watching the fares like crazy since they weren't even that high last year when we went to WDW/DCL. I have been trying to get from MCO to BWI in Oct. and the fare is still at $209 per person. Looks like I might have to take a chance on AirTran since even with all the fess it is still $150 cheaper, and we can check in at the resort. I just like Southwest better though. Oh well..........

I always book Airtran. I got $172.00 round trip, non-stop both ways from BWI to MCO, including the baggage fees. I feel that is very reasonable, considering I am leaving the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. I love Airtran, because I can pick my seat at booking time and I can check-out at my resort. I would rather pay a little bit more for the convenience.

We saved $250 on 4 tickets from San Antonio to MCO roundtrip....so great! And, they are non stop flights which makes life so much easier....

Now...if I could just get one of those dang pin codes from Disney ;)

HOLY COW!! $660 is a LOT of souveniers! Have a great trip!

Ok, got mine for PHL to MCO $60 pp-down but $109 pp back-- they said that if it goes lower that I get a credit-- I thought the last time I did this & the fares went down that it was refuned from my cc- does anyone know about this???
