We were not Concierge on our last cruise (May 2015) and we asked our stateroom host about the possibility of getting some body wash. He provided both the body wash and the gel and replenished them as needed. I think we were able to get them because he also serviced some Concierge staterooms and had access to the products.

During my last cruise Disney handed out free ponchos as we were getting off the ship at Castaway Cay. It was down right pouring rain though. I don't know if they still do that, but it was a nice gesture. With that said it was raining a day or two on the Alaskan cruise I took a few years back and we weren't given free ponchos. However, it appeared that most people came prepared with rain gear etc.

I saw other cruise lines handing out Ponchos to their guests in Nassau on our last cruise. This really isn't anything special that's exclusive to DCL.

Just finished reading this article on 44 Hacks for a Disney Cruise. There were some interesting tips that I did not know about (free ponchos for inclement weather). Thought others might be interested.

yes, we got free ponchos on an eastern sailing in St. Maarten when it was pouring down rain leaving the boat. I bet those thin little things with Mickey on them cost $15.00 if you bought them in the park.

How about the "port side fish - starboard side seahorse" thing? I think that's only on the Dream class ships, right? And Concierge has a starfish.

Plus, you can't bring meal-type foods into the theaters, only snacks (popcorn, candy).

I believe other cruise lines can have yellow lifeboats, also. Maybe not the specific "Mickey shoe" yellow, but yellow, nonetheless.

Yeah, alot is incorrect or at least outdated....

I agree with Shmoo and others that the water on board is processed and filtered. I've consumer a lot of that water!

We have always (on every cruise line) taken bike water bottles and refill them from the sinks in our room.

Well, on our last cruise on the Magic, we saw a family bring plates with burgers and fries in to enjoy while they watched Moana. Didn't bother me at all, and no one seemed to be concerned about it.

I know it's kinda hit or miss on that. Except at the Walt Disney Theater. When we first started cruising DCL, they allowed whatever food/drinks you wanted in. Then they started limiting the food to snack type foods - chips, popcorn, candy bars, sometimes french fries.

I've seen full on meals in the Buena Vista Theater on both the Magic & Wonder, but not on the Dream or Fantasy. And only the snack stuff in the Walt Disney Theater.

I also don't believe that your KTTW card has your credit card information on it - it just connects to your onboard account.

We were definitely told that we couldn't bring any food (other than popcorn and drinks) into the theatre. It probably depends on how busy the theatre is, if there is a CM in attendance when someone goes in with food or how well it's enforced, but I do believe that it is policy that full plates of food are not supposed to be taken in.

#24 is one of my favourite washrooms. I couldn't believe how much effort and beauty they put into a washroom. And most of the time I went into a public washroom on the ship, I didn't have to get the paper towels myself. There was almost always someone in there cleaning and who would hand one to me before I had a chance to get one myself.

I was really surprised that no mention was made of the animated pictures on the ship. And I have to say I didn't totally realize that a lot of the pictures were related to where they were located. Now I'll have to check them out.

I checked the BYOB policy and it is in line with the DCL site: 2 bottles of wine/champagne or 6 bottles of beer per port and at the beginning. What's incorrect in the article?
