So I am now officially 40!!! How sad is that!!!
Today was even colder than yesterday. We had our usual breakfast in the Captains Quarters and headed off to the Studios today. We were going to do Panoramagique, but the thought of being so high in the sky on such a cold day did not thrill us at all.
Now last time we came to DLP, Studios was a big disappointment and I was hoping for better this time.
I really dont like the entrance into this Park Studio 1. A glorified food court built in an industrial unit. We quickly headed outside to see the morning parade, with Goofy Santa in their cars.
LOOK HOW BUSY THE PARK WAS TODAY!!
The kids quickly headed off to get autographs and photos while we turned to blocks of ice!!! The building of tower of terror is well on its way and the new Toon Town area was also clearly visible behind the flying carpets ride. I think these will make good additions to this poor park.
We did all the usuals, including the Motor Stunt show, Animagique, Flying Carpets, Armageddon and the Interactive Zone at the end of the Studios Tour. Built our virtual coaster and rode it a little bit of a tame effort if I am being honest. Did the backlot tour too.
We went back to Studios 1 for a bite to eat. Very average burger and hot dog fare here. I made a few calls home to make sure Rome wasnt burning.
We were just about in time for the parade and had the first and probably the last glimpse of Chicken Little in a parade. Cant think he will still be there this time next year.
Went on the Carpets ride a few more times and stood under the fake snow, getting colder!!!! DD was keen to see the new attraction for Narnia that was advertised. We found it ..and this was it!!! The Queens throne plonked outside Rock n Roller Coaster - not the best Disney attraction ever.
We left Studios mid-afternoon, but not before the kids made me queue up for Candy Floss for about 45 minutes!! (Well maybe 20 minutes!!)
We had bookings for the early show of Buffalo Bills. I have never done this show in all the times we have been to DLP.
We were all very impressed. An excellent dinner show, where you could stamp and holler to your hearts content as you are plied with food and drink. Everyone loved this show .highly recommended. Although DS did not want his photo taken
Spent the rest of the evening smooching around the Disney Village shops before the walk back to the hotel ..a quick drink in the bar and off to bed.
