40th Birthday Dinner

Dh's 40th birthday is in April and our 4 yr old son will be in tow. Our trip is the 23rd thru the 29th and DH actually turns 40 on the 12th. We had planned on going during his actual birthday but due to obligations being in the military we cannot get away during his birthday.

Anyhow we plan on celebrating his birthday on Saturday as his birthday is exactly 2 weeks previous to that day. Now I'm trying to figure out where to do a birthday dinner. We haven't had a whole lot of sit down dinners at Disney so I wouldn't know where to go. Part of me is thinking Citricos or 1900 Park Fare, but I'm open to other suggestions. I'd like to eat somewhere that I can get a good birthday cake to go along with it.

Any recommendations for bakeries or places to get a cake are welcome too.

When we were in Disney last April, my sil was celebrating her big birthday and we had a celebration at Crystal Palace......wonderful food there and the characters were so fun celebrating her birthday too......They brought out a cute cupcake with a candle on it........but someone that was celebrating near us when we went in September......they had a real cake........maybe they ordered it ahead of time and had it delivered......if you son is going too with you to celebrate........the buffets are good cause they have such a wide selection of foods..

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm not sure how well CRT would fly with DH for is 40th birthday dinner. I've read a lot about Narcoosse's and think we might do that and try and wrap up dinner about the time the fireworks are set to go off at 8pm.

I think we also might try and do 1900 Park Fare at some point in the trip too. Sounds like fun.

I'm still open to other suggestions from others too!
