40th Birthday Celebration Ideas

I've pretty much decided to celebrate my 40th at Disneyland next January - ages away I know but I'm already excited! I'm hoping to get some ideas from everyone on ways I can celebrate, bearing in mind I will be travelling solo. The only thing I definately want to do is the Walking in Walts Footsteps tour. It's on a Saturday -15th- so I'm hoping I'll get longer park hours and fireworks too!

I celebrated my 40th last Aug. at DL and for my birthday dinner we went to Cafe Orleans excellent meal and excellent service, and I had a blast wearing my birthday button and having random strangers and cm's wish me happy birthday!!!!

Great minds think alike!
I celebrated my 40th at DL 2 years ago with 5 girlfriends.
We arrived on a Friday afternoon, checked into the GCH enjoyed cocktails in the room after receiving our Von's grocery delivery.
I gave each of them a goodie bag with tiaras, glow bracelets and special order t-shirts (Zazzle). While I was in the bathroom they decorated the rooms with 40 "Over the Hill" items and balloons.

We started off with the Ariel's Grotto Princess Character meal for dinner making sure to enjoy cocktails at the Cove Bar first

After that we headed over to DL and watched the fireworks and rode some of our favorite rides.

The next morning we were up and at the gates by 7am for early entry and enjoyed walk-ons for the first 2 hours.

We had lunch at Carnation Cafe (my favorite!) and then later in the afternoon we had dessert only at Blue Bayou to soak in the ambiance.
After the parks and many silly pictures we enjoyed cocktails at the Lost Bar (DLH).

My mom brought my kids down that Sunday afternoon, the girls left and I enjoyed 3 more days in the parks with my boys.

The best birthday ever!
