Long story - 2 years ago I suggested to my sibs that we plan something for my parents 40th. They didn't want to. Now, I have heard from a relative that my mom hopes that her kids do something special for them! We have been tenatively planning a trip to WDW for Dec or next year. One I my sibs may be leaving on a mission trip before then so may not be able to make it. So, would it be wrong to plan our Disney trip early and celebrate their anniversary at Disney? My dad would be in on the surprise and tell my mother that he is taking her to Florida then we would suprise them (all 13 of us) at the resort. I would probably get them a 1br for themselves. Or should we just stick to a party at home?
Thanks!
Thanks!

That sounds amazing! How surprised would your mother be? If all of you are able to do this, I would definitely go for it!

My parents planned a family trip to WDW for their 50th. We actually went almost a year early as it worked best for everyone. We didn't spend every second together as it was too difficult to arrange. Rather, we planned certain times and meals together. It was amazing to have all the family together. My mom and dad had the time of their lives.

We still go through the pics and remember when.... Even have a pic with all the family together (before they had photo pass). That photo hangs in all of our houses.

WDW is a great place to celebrate to be sure, but honestly, where ever you celebrate, just being together is pretty awesome.

We are taking all of my family next July to celebrate my parent's 50th. It isn't a surprise to everyone that we are going, but it was a surprise that we provided rooms for everyone! We have planned a dinner at Ca Grill to officially celebrate! So excited!

We planned a family reunion many years ago at Old Key West in a Grand Villa for a week. There were 11 of us. When we get together, we often reminisce on what a great time we all had together, both at the resort and WDW. If you can pull this off, you parents would remember it forever. :thumbsup2
