401 days 'till Disney!!! But who's counting?!?! 07/18

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!! I’m so glad it’s the end of the week, and I’m off all weekend, AND it’s Easter weekend! So, it’s going to be a great weekend! I hope everyone has a very blessed and happy Easter! Our weekend will be pretty busy! I have to clean the house, grocery shop, do laundry, then we get to the fun stuff! Ben and I are going to see Mirror, Mirror on Saturday, go to Church, and then go to my parent’s house to celebrate Easter with my family and to remember why we celebrate this holiday!  Has anyone seen Mirror, Mirror? I’m anxious to see if it’s any good! I haven’t heard very many comments about it since it came out, so I guess we’ll see! I’ll let you guys know what I thought of it!
So, my last day of my current job is on the 14th! YAY! I’m so excited to be done! So, 5 more working days after this one, and I’ll be free! Lol My first day of my new job is the 23rd! WOO HOO! Thank GOD I got this job! I’m so excited, and a little nervous-but I know it will all be great!
193 days ‘till Disney today! I’m so excited! I can’t believe I’m finally in the 100s, since I started in the 400s this is quite a big deal! Hahaha Also, Ben let me know the other day that he is okay with us going to Disney every other year!!!! I’m sooooooo excited! I knew going every year would be pushing it with him, but he is totally okay with every other year, so I’m taking it! Haha I think it’s completely fair! We’ll go where he wants to go one year, and then go to my happy place the next! Haha But, who knows, by the end of this amazingly planned trip (I hope), maybe he’ll fall in love with WDW like I am! Haha​

Anyway, back to DHS!!!​

When I last left you, we just hopped out of our stretch limo, and were ready to explore a little more of DHS!
We saw that Disney Channel Rocks show was starting, so we watched it just long enough for me to take a few pictures! It was alright! I prefer the old Disney Channel shows and movies better, but there are a few shows that I like now as well! (Does anyone remember the Disney Channel movie Brink and Smart House?! Omg I loooooved those movies! I would watch them pretty much every single time they were on! Not to mention the shows like, Even Stevens and Phil of The Future, and Lizzie Mcguire!)

We probably won’t stop next time to watch, but it wasn’t bad!
After that short stop, it was time to use our TSM FPs!!! I was so excited to ride this! I had read a lot about it, and I couldn’t wait to experience it!

The queue is one of the best parts of the ride, IMO!

We’re on!! This ride is amazing!! It’s soooo much fun! Even though I lost, of course, I still had such a blast! This ride totally immerses you in the story, and I love it!
We got stuck/stopped a few times during the ride, so I took some pictures!

And before we knew it, our TSM adventure was over! SAD DAY! But it was awesome, and I can’t wait to ride it again in Oct!
After that, we headed to One Man’s Dream! I LOOOOVE this attraction! The movie was great, and the exhibit was awe inspiring! I took a loooot of pictures, but I’ll only post a few! Ben liked this a lot as well! He loves history, so it was cool to see all of the old pieces of Disney history!

After we spent like an hour and a half in OMD, it was almost time for our lunch ADR in EPCOT!!! So that’s where he headed next!

I know a lot of people don't feel it is worth it but I so do!

At DL I've done the DASH many times! Unfortunately there it is a dash to the Standby line as they don't have Fast Pass for it!!

I have NOT done One Man's Dream! Planning to change that in October!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Toy Story Mania so much! It's a genius ride. Everything about it is amazing!

I haven't been inside One Man's Dream since my first trip, and we didn't get to see the movie because we had to book it over to our ADR! I really want to see it though. I bet it's amazing! Walt.

I think Mirror, Mirror tanked to be perfectly honest with you LOL. It didn't make much money for it's opening weekend and the reviews were so-so. I'm not a Julia Roberts fan so I have zero interest in seeing it.

I'm curious to know what you thought of Coral Reef. I've been there a few times & while the atmosphere is really cool, I wasn't that impressed with the food!

I miss the really old school Disney channel shows. Adventures in Wonderland was one of my favorites and I could not miss an episode of MMC. I love, love, loved Tony Lucca & I think I was such a big NSYNC fan because I already knew who JC & Justin were. Tony Lucca is on The Voice now! I had a mini-heart attack when I saw him.

I didn't know DL does't have FP for it! That's crazy!! You would literally have to sprint to get a good spot in line!

Yeah, if you don't like Julia Roberts, I can see why you wouldn't want to watch it! hahaha We went to see it on Saturday, and it was good! (not great, or anything) I had a gift card, and only ended up paying 50 cents for the movie, out of pocket--so I can't complain about the movie too much! haha It had good parts, but I won't be rushing out to buy it, or see it again!

I should have a Coral Reef review up here soon! This weekend just got by me too fast! hahaha But, I will say I have seen a lot of bad reviews of Coral Reef on here, and we didn't have a bad experience at all!

OMG yes!! Adventures in Wonderland! I remember that! I lllloooovvved that show!! MMC was awesome, too! Those are soo old school, but way awesome! I miss old school Disney! Gotta love it!

There are 2 good ways to ride it... Once is first thing in the morning right at opening.

The 2nd way is at night during WOC (World of Color). I was able to ride it 3 times in an hour. The only reason I wasn't able to ride it one more time is they had me go over to the Handicapped area but then we ended up waiting longer than if we had loaded in the regular area! Was bummed but oh well! The 2nd way only works if the park is open later than WOC.

I'm sorry you had a sad Easter!! It must be very hard to experience holidays and special occasions when your hubby isn't there! I would be sad, too! But yes, everyday IS closer to being able to see your hubby again!

Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone’s week is going great! I’m having a good one so far! I only have 3 more days left at my current job, then I’m free!! AND I get off early today!! Woo Hoo!!
So, our local ballet company is doing Sleeping Beauty this weekend, and I REALLY want to go!!!!! I’m not sure if I’ll get to, but I’ll keep you posted! I’ve planted a bug in Ben’s ear, we’ll see if he gets the hint! Haha
So, I’m actually going to talk about the upcoming trip today!! I’m going to share with you all, my plans for day 1!! (This will probably change, but maybe it won’t! haha) I’m super excited to share with you though! 188 days left!! And, 8 days ‘till I can make ADR’s!
BTW, I’m not sure if I mentioned this, I think I did, but We changed our dates by one day. It is now Oct. 15-22! (It’s cheaper to fly out on a weekday!)
So, here we gooooooo.....

October 15, 2012!​

This falls on a Monday, and it’s going to be an EARLY Monday! The flight that I’m looking at booking is at 6:00am! Thankfully we have a small airport, so security is usually a breeze! So, we’ll get up probably at about 3:45ish, get all of our stuff together, and loaded in the car, and drive our happy selves to the airport!!
We’ll board, and make our way to Dallas! DFW is one HUGE airport, so we’ll have to hurry and get breakfast (fruit for me, and probably a sausage biscuit for hubby!), and find our gate!
We’ll board our plane again, and head to ORLANDO!!! In no time, we’ll be seeing these:

And, I’ll be hyperventilating! We’ll also ride this:

Then we’ll be here!!!!!

Then we’ll board this baby (hopefully—NO MEARS BUS!)

Then we’ll ride along and watch the tear jerking movie; and then we’ll see this beautiful sight!

Ben will probably have to calm me down at this point, but he shouldn’t waste his energy, because let’s be real here, I won’t calm down! Haha
Then we’ll end up here!

We’ll probably have done the online check-in (it worked great last time) and hopefully our room will be ready! (We’re supposed to land at MCO around 11:00am)
If our room is ready, we’ll unload our stuff, and head out to our first park!!!! (I’m so excited just typing this! haha)
For me, you can’t begin a trip without going to the most magical park of them all first! So, as you have probably already guessed, we’ll be headed to....
THE MAGIC KINGDOM!!

Pure beauty!

Hopefully we’ll get there around 1pm or so, and we’ll HUNGRYYYY! So, after crying and staring at the castle for a few minutes, we’ll head either to CHH or Pecos Bill’s! I’m not sure which one to pick! We loved CHH last time, but have heard pretty good things about PB as well!
After we eat, (about 2ish) it’s onnnnn!
This is what I hope to accomplish this day at the MK!(haha that rhymed!)
-Splash
-BTMRR (probably will wait ‘till night time to ride this, I hear it’s awesome at night)
-Haunted Mansion (this will actually be our first ride, more than likely! It was our first ride on our honeymoon, so I thought it would be a cool tradition!)

-maybe Tiki room
-POTC
-Ride the riverboat (Ben wants to! Lol)
-SHOP!
-get a dole whip!

-Teacups (one of my favorite rides!)

-Dinner either at Casey’s or Cosmic Ray’s! (I’m leaning towards Casey’s, since we’ve never eaten there!—besides, this looks so good!)

-Dessert!! I’ll probably get this! haha

There are EMH this night until 12am, so then we’ll head for Fantasy land/Tomorrow land if we have enough time!

I know I left some rides out, but we will definitely be back later in our trip! These are just the rides I want to accomplish for day #1! I know it’s a lot, so we’ll see if we can do it!!
After our tiresome first day at WDW, we’ll hop on a bus, and head back to POP! Then we’ll fall asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow!​

Hey hey hey!! I hope everyone has had a great week so far! I have been LOVING mine! My last day of my old job was on Friday, and this week I am off ALL week before I start my new job, and I have really been enjoying it! As incredibly grateful I am to God for giving me this new job and new opportunity, I am super excited for this week off before I start!! I have been spending time with Ben, reading books (I read all 3 Game Books! So good!), and yesterday we helped Ben’s mom clean on her house for her birthday! It’s been such a great week! We found out that Ben’s mom has actually been offered a new job in Dallas! That’s about 5 hours away from us, but it’s such a great opportunity for her! So, we are very excited for her! We are also very excited because that means we have a free place to stay when we go see Texas Rangers’ baseball games in the summer! Haha I’m super excited about that! She should be moving there in the end of May, so that’s good!
We are also throwing around the idea of buying Ben’s mom’s house! It’s absolutely crazy to think I’m even old enough to be thinking about buying a house! Haha I’m not sure if we’ll do it though—it’s such a big step, and I don’t want to rush into anything! So, Ben and I are praying about it, and waiting to see what God leads us to do!!! I’ll keep you guys updated! I’m pretty stingy with money so it hurts to even think about getting an expensive house, but I know it’s a good investment in our future!! The only thing that kind of stinks about it is that it’s about 10-15 miles away from the city we both work in! So, I guess we’ll just see!
Also, tomorrow is ADR DAY!!!!! Wooo hooooo! I have finally finalized our ADR list (for now anyway! Lol) (random side note, Ben and I are watching the Men Acrobatic Gymnastic World Championship----HOLY MOLY GUACAMOLE those guys are crazy!!!!! If you ever see it on, check it out!! It’s like Cirque Du Soliel!)
Okay, back to ADR’s! lol Since Ben and I are on the QSDP, we are only going out to eat for 4 of our meals, since we’ll be paying OOP for it! So, here’s what we’ve got! (I’m not going to go into too much detail right now with them, since I’m going to explain more when I write about the day each ADR is on!!):

-Yak & Yeti
-O’Hana
-Le Cellier
I’m so excited to actually have plans that are firm! I’ll be even more excited once I know for sure I have the reservations!! So, I’ll be getting up early so I can make those ADR’s!!
Okay, so now I’ll get to the second day of our up-coming trip!!

Tuesday, October 16, 2012! (our first full day!)​

We’ll probably wake up pretty tired from our EMH in MK the night before, but this is our first full day of Disney, so we’ll definitely be up early and get ready for our day in the parks!
We’ll stop by Everything POP and get some breakfast, then we’ll head to the bus stop and jump on the one headed to

EPCOT!!
EPCOT has EMH this morning, so we’ll be there for that!
We’ll head for Soarin’ FPs first, as most people do; then we’ll head over to TT (if it’s up by then-it should be!) We’ll probably ride stand-by for that, and then see what else FW has in store for us!
Here are the things I want to for sure get accomplished here:
-Mission: Space (orange!)
-Club Cool
-The Seas with Nemo
-Turtle Talk With Crush
-Innoventions East&West (Might wait ‘till the next EPCOT day for this)
-Living with the Land
-SHOPPING!
-Figment
-SE
Hopefully we can get a lot of this done before 11, because I really want to get to WS right at 11 so we can explore a few countries before our ADR!!
We’ll start going counter clock-wise, starting at Canada! I really like taking my time in each country and looking at everything-so we’ll start doing that here!
Hopefully we’ll at least get to get through about 2 countries before our ADR!! I’m sure by looking at our ADR list up top, you will at least narrow it down to 2 places that we might be going to!
Well, I won’t leave you in suspense for long!
We’re going to be eating lunch at:

I’m super excited to eat here!
I have narrowed it down to 2 entrees lol!

After our awesome lunch, we’ll head over to explore some more countries!!
After digesting a while, we’ll finally check out some of the F&W booths! I want to try something from all of the booths, but I’m not exactly sure what yet! I’ll let you know when I figure it out! Haha
We are going to stay here until about 3 or so, and then we’ll head over to POP for a quick refresher, and then head back over to MK for:

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!!
I absolutely can’t WAIT for this, and I can’t wait to see MK all decorated!
We will obviously want to ride a few of the rides this night, like Space Mountain, POTC and HM, but we will really be here for the atmosphere, characters, parade, candy and fireworks!! Who knows, we might even check out a dance party! I also want to check out the Villans show!

I’m not sure if Ben and I will dress up, I’m still trying to figure out what we could go as!
We’ll party ‘till the party is over, then we’ll head to bed because the next day will be as busy as this one!
If you guys have any ideas on what I should eat at Via Napoli, or what Ben and I should dress up as, let me know! I’ll try to get a disneymoon update soon! I hope your week is great! God Bless!​

It looks like we overlapped in Disney during your disneymoon - we stayed at the POP and were celebrating my 30th bday. I can't wait to go back!

My next planned trip is December 2013 - which is soooo sooo far but I'm hoping to maybe sneak in a smaller trip in October or to go with my boyfriend's sister/brother in law and niece and nephew in Jan. I'd be ecstatic if that happened.

Your first full day sounds so awesome! The Halloween party should be awesome. The Halloween parade is so so so so good (I've never seen it in person but I'm one of those people that watches Disney stuff on you tube hahah).

I've been to Via Napoli once before! I was with a group of five and we weren't on the Dining Plan (I never am when I go with friends, only with my family hah) so we all split a big margherita pizza. It was very very good, but my only complaint was that there wasn't enough cheese! Mozzarella is my FAVORITE kind of cheese haha. I'm going there again this summer and I plan on getting the quattro formaggi pizza... it's guaranteed to have cheese! ANYWAYS, what I'm saying is, if you're a big fan of cheese you might want to get the pasta dish! And if not, just ignore everything I'm saying hahah. Hope you're having a good weekend!

Your first full day sounds so awesome! The Halloween party should be awesome. The Halloween parade is so so so so good (I've never seen it in person but I'm one of those people that watches Disney stuff on you tube hahah).

I've been to Via Napoli once before! I was with a group of five and we weren't on the Dining Plan (I never am when I go with friends, only with my family hah) so we all split a big margherita pizza. It was very very good, but my only complaint was that there wasn't enough cheese! Mozzarella is my FAVORITE kind of cheese haha. I'm going there again this summer and I plan on getting the quattro formaggi pizza... it's guaranteed to have cheese! ANYWAYS, what I'm saying is, if you're a big fan of cheese you might want to get the pasta dish! And if not, just ignore everything I'm saying hahah. Hope you're having a good weekend!

I'm super excited to see the parade! I have restricted myself from looking it up on youtube so I can be surprised, but i REALLY want to! hahaha
I listen to a lot of the music from the parks on youtube, though!

Thanks for the cheese advice! hahahahaha I do love cheese, so I might stick with the pasta! haha I guess I'll just see how "cheese hungry" I am that day!

Why, hello there!!! Sorry it’s been a little over a week since I’ve updated! First, the DIS was down, and then, my week off between jobs suddenly got real busy!! BUT, I enjoyed every minute of it! But, I am very glad I’m back updating, and taking to my friends!!
Before we get to Disney stuff, I just wanted to let you all know that today is my FIRST day at my new job!! YAYAYAY! I’m super excited/nervous/excited about it!! I’m mostly nervous about having to ask off for a couple of hours in May for doctors appointments! I feel so bad since I have just started this job, and I already have to ask off for a couple of hours!! But, these doctor’s appointments are very important, and cannot be rescheduled (I’ve tried)! I hope that they understand that! I never ask off unless I absolutely have to, so hopefully they won’t be upset with me! It’s been worrying me all week!
Anywho, this past week has been wonderful! I haven’t been able to just do whatever I want in a long time, but I actually got to this week since I was off! I even attempted to garden(ish!)—this basically means I bought 4 things of flowers and put them in pots---but that’s gardening to me! I’ll let you guys know if they stay alive past this week! Haha
Okay, now to Disney related news!!!
I got all of my ADRS!!!! I’m super excited about this! But, as I was adding up how much it was going to cost us for just these 4 meals (around $250), I decided to see how much it would be just to upgrade to DDP—IT’S ONLY $230 more, plus, I can make 4 more ADRs! Sooooo, basically, I’m upgrading to DDP! I’m pretty excited about it! So, now I need suggestions on where else to eat! I know I want to do Kona for a breakfast ADR, and probably check out Biergarten—but other than that, I need your help!
Now last time I left you on our Disneymoon, we were headed to Coral Reef!!!

EPCOT AGAIN/DHS!​

I have heard less than stellar reviews of Coral Reef on the DIS since I’ve been back from our trip, but I can honestly say, we didn’t have a bad experience at all!!

We got there a little bit early for our ADR, and checked in! The CM at the check in desk, noticed our buttons and asked if we were here for our honeymoon, and we said “Yes!” She, then, proceeded to stamp “celebration” on our ticket-thingy (the technical name for it, of course)! We had to sit maybe 5 minutes before we were seated, but it was not a big deal at all!

Our name was called, and we headed for the dining room! All I can say is “WOW!” I love the atmosphere –it was really beautiful! I saw pictures of it before I made the ADR, and of course, saw it on Full House, so obviously I had to make an ADR here! Hahaha

We sat down, and our waiter was great! He was very polite, and was on top of getting us everything we needed!

I don’t have pictures of our entrée’s (sorry—I wasn’t a DISer yet! Lol) I CAN tell you what we got, though! I got the Mahi Mahi, and it was really really good! I love fish-and this was great! Ben got the lobster ravioli, and he loved it as well! (this is really saying something, because he usually doesn’t like seafood!)
After our food, Ben was about to ask what desserts they had, but instead, our waiter brought out this!

This meant so much to us! We hadn’t even mentioned our honeymoon when we made the ADRs, and we STILL got recognized! Disney is seriously great!
This was realllly good cake, too! Ben ate most of it, but I definitely liked what I had!
After our nice surprise, we paid, tipped, then headed out the door. I had to make a pit-stop at the restroom, first!
Now, I’m not sure why I am telling you guys this, since it’s pretty embarrassing for me—but here it is! Haha
I really had to go to the bathroom, and apparently I can’t read signs (or I’m just not observant)—so I just went in the first bathroom that I saw! I walked in, and it just didn’t “feel right” in there but, I soldiered on! After I washed my hands and exited, I then, realized that I had just used the Men’s restroom! Hahahaha I was so embarrassed! Thankfully no one came in while I was in there! But, I definitely learned my lesson to pay closer attention to the signs! Haha (I almost did this again, a few weeks back at the movies!—but I didn’t! whew! Haha)
After our wonderful meal at Coral Reef, we decided it was time to hop over to DHS!
Of course, before you can leave EPCOT you have to take a picture of SE!

Eventually we made it to DHS, and got a spot for the parade! This was the hottest day we were there, for sure! I think you can see it in my face in one of these pictures!

While we were waiting for the parade to start, I snapped some random pictures of the atmosphere! Theming is great!

A couple of minutes, and a newly fashioned sunburn later, the parade started!
I think this parade is toooo cute! I definitely loved the Monster’s Inc. floats and the Up ones! So cute! The music was a lot of fun, too! I’m so glad we decided to watch it! I think Ben liked it, too! (of course you probably won’t get him to say it! Lol)

After the parade of cuteness, it was time to check out the Little Mermaid! I love the movie, so I was really excited to see the show!

Verdict: I LOVED IT! Sure, they had to cut out like 97.5% of the movie, but I loved that 2.5% that they show in this show!! It’s truly magical, and I can’t wait to see it again in Oct!
After watching that epic love story, we decided to see how long the TSM wait, was:

NOPE, not gonna happen!
