December 15th, 2006 will mark 40 years to the day of Walt Disney's passing. I wonder if there will be any type of memorial by the CMs or by Disney on that day to celebrate his life and all he gave to the world through his creations?

It would be a nice time to be in the parks and reflect on what his life meant and how it touched so many people...

I was not born yet, but living in Dallas, I know what you mean. I know people who were involved and the stories that they tell.....wow!!

Isn't it customary to celebrate one's life even after death, on their birthdate. Dec 5 is Walt's Birthday and also was the start of 100 years of magic celebration in 2001.

President's Day, MLK Day, and the like are all birthdates, not deathdates.
