40% off select nights/resorts in 2007

Is there anyway I could get the 2 codes you folks are talking about? I'm about to call Disney to book a trip in December and would love to "try" and get a discount. If it doesn't work, I was going to try my travel agent, but booking a trip to Disney just seems easier to do myself.

thanks so much in advance. :)

When I called, I never mentioned the code that was being tossed around here. I just politely asked if there were any discounts I was eligible for. The nice CM did some looking & found something that took about 40% off. I never asked him for the specific code. Moral... just call & ask!! You might just get lucky!

I just tried to get anything off my res asking about pins to my name and package discounts and was told there was nothing available. I have been saving for two years for this vacation and would really like a break on a package.

If you're referring to the 40% room only code that people are using, that's a pin code, not a public code. The only people who've been able to get the 40% off room only were people with these codes. The code in question that's being debated whether it's pin code or public is the three letter code that's a package deal. Now the code still gives the 40% off room rates, but it is not a room only deal, it's a package deal. The room only deals that are currently being booked are being done by people who have pin codes.

You are absolutely right, if it was a public code, the DIS would have it posted for us all to use...............therefore it is not public!!! :)

Ahh I just called and the 1st guy I talked to was going to honor the code then lo and behold my cell phone signal fades. I called back, got a different guy and he wouldn't give it to me. I guess it wouldn't hurt to keep trying.

Good Job! When are your dates?

Just thought I'd mention that I called the main number for reservations this evening and politely asked if there were any discounts available for an upcoming (pkg) trip already booked. I was told that she would check my "family household" and then stated no discounts were available for us. She then stated that the offers out there are very random with no rhyme or reason to them. She then reconfirmed my email and home address. Well, I tried, but no luck. :(

Would someone be kind enough to please share the "public" code for booking a package with me via a PM?? I would be ever so thankful.

Thanks!
Carla

"For the Public Code - What are the dates available?!?"

I think these are the dates:

Now to Feb 7th 2007
Feb 25th - Mar 7th 2007
May 28th - June 3rd 2007
Aug 21st - Oct 6th 2007
Oct 21st - Nov 3rd 2007
Nov 11th - 16th 2007
Dec 9th - 22nd 2007

Ok Please Help! I am trying to figure all of this out and I am even more confused then ever!!!
Someone said that there is another code for room only and for other dates.
Can someone tell me if any of these codes/pins/ whatever are available for May?

Oh and I thought today I had gotten a code in the mail and when I opened it it was a postcard for the vacation club. Talk about a big disapointment!!!

Thank you all for your help.

...She then stated that the offers out there are very random with no rhyme or reason to them.

There are formulas somewhere in the Marketing department that determine who gets which promotions & when but I'm afraid only Disney Marketing & their programers know what they are. You have to have top security level clearance before you're let in through those magical doors.

Can someone send me a PM with the code for 40% off my dates are VERY flexible! if it doesn't work it doesn't work... if I have to pay "full" price when I get there so be it... nothing lost, nothing gained for me! Hi to the other Helene in PA I really thought what in the world did I post when I saw this thread...

I too am ao very confused at this point.
If the codes are being offered to a select few, then WHY are people requesting the codes thru a PM? Does that mean that anyone can use the code, even though they didn't get it directly????
Has anyone gotten the PM and then called and actually GOT the discount???
Well, I wish you luck if you are able to get the 40% off. I too would have liked to get it.
I am actually unsure about HOW the PM works as I have never done it. LOL! Would anyone be willing to share the code with me?

I would also love the room only code that is available to the general public if someone would be so kind to PM me. Also, if anyone know the dates this is available it would b wonderful. Thank you so much!:)

People who are asking for PIN codes via PM please

STOP!

The codes are only for the people who received them. You can't transfer them to someone else. They are for the person either living at the address they were mailed to or for the email address that corresponds to the individual who signed up to receive the emails.

Public codes can be found on this site or mousesavers.com.

I did not recieve a card but just finished booking a trip and had the code applied! I called and had a very nice, helpful CM. I started out inquiring about a reservation as usual and when he asked which resort I nicely asked if there were any codes available for me at that time. He looked into it and asked how flexible my travel dates were, I changed my arrival date 1 week and had the 40% discount applied to a room only reservation at the Contemporary.:woohoo: I saved $1100 from the rate quoted online on a seven night stay! Time to start planning!!! I suggest calling and asking, I was amazed at how smoothly it went!

I know this hard to believe as you would think that Disney CMs would not tell someone something that is not accurate, but anyone that has been on these forums for more than a few days, knows that is not true. They are notorious for wrong info.

At this time there are no public codes.

If there were they would be listed on the DIS discount page, mousesavers, and other well known sites. The public access codes are verified by these sites and their representatives before posting them.

Also if these codes were truly "public", no one would have problems booking it. Everyone would be able to simply call, get any CM and book it. That is not the case.

This is not to say those that have found a CM willing to book it have done anything wrong. Disney is wrong, but please know that Disney is also famous for coming back after the fact and correcting thier mistakes.

They are aware there is a problem and they are working to correct it. I would say if you have not already booked it, your chances are very slim, all CMs have been put on alert and their jobs depend on their compliance.

That is great! :thumbsup2

I haven't had a chance to call yet, but after my last child goes to sleep I intend on calling. Either way, we're going to vacation but it sure would be nice to get a discount. :)
