40% off and Free Dining?

I was looking through another thread recently about what people have paid for their packages, and I noticed that quite a few people had 40% off of their rooms AND free dining? I was under the impression that you couldn't do both?

PLEASE PLEASE tell me how to get this done!!!

It can't be done. Disney does not allow multiple discounts at once. These people may have received pin codes for both discounts, but they were only able to use one.

Correct. There is no way to have 2 discounts on a package.
Either it is as PP said, or they have been misinformed.
I have heard of PPL saying they have both, as they had 1 and called to inquire about the other and the CM just switch them to the new offer and they think they have both.

Sorry, WDW is tight on this. They don't let you have both. Just choose which one is best for your family and saves you the most $$ on your trip.

Yes you can. Disney UK sometimes has 40% off for okw or ssr with free dining. I have never seen it available for usa though.

Last year a few people supposedly got it as a bounce back.

I think what you are seeing is what my family has. We did it on separate reservations though. Our original trip was only 7 days, and it has free dining. We decided to add 3 days, and when we did that, we used the room discount and paid for the DP on those days. THEN we decided to add another day to take advantage of the kids stay and play free discount, so we changed our second reservation. Our second reservation is now 4 days four nights, with one room being on the room discount, and one room being on the kids stay and play free discount. So you see, we have 3 different discounts, but only one at a time on each room. Our second reservation worked out well being able to use two discounts, but it was only b/c we need 2 rooms for our size family, so there is one discount on each room. Hopefully you understand what I'm saying. It's a bit confusing. However, doing it this way added an extra day and saved me $500. Now we have a glorious 11 day Disney vacation planned and paid for! Yay!

Essentially everyone before this post is correct. However, there are ways to save money if you have multiple reservations and rooms.

we booked via the uk website (i mentionned it also on the thread with disney tips): for our full stay we got both a large room discount (which was between 30-40%) ánd free dining (which we upgraded at an extra cost to deluxe). in addition, we also got more days on our hopper for less days paid (can't remember the details). risks: currency risk, different cancellation policies, etc
The same deal was not possible via the us website....

We were able to get a room discount and free dining last year in January, but it was due to a website glitch. I think we booked a vaction package through American or United Airline - I don't really know since my husband took care of all of that.

I have also seen where people have got this in the past. Would be nice to receive both.
