40 Days Left and Getting Overwhelmed

We leave the 14th of September and although I have Disney on my mind I have really done nothing to prepare for my trip. I know it will creep up on me with work, summer camps, and school starting keeping me busy through August. I am getting just a bit overwhelmed with the thought I'm not prepared yet. Last year was another mad rush to get everything together before we leave. I don't want that this year. I want to be ready! I do have my itinerary planned but that is it. I think I will start making packing lists.

As God as my witness, this year I will be ready and packed with no last minute panic attacks

Wishing you luck Jen!! I am in a not doing anything rut too! I am 24 days out. I have to get in gear!!I dont even know what is holding me up. I am usually packed a month out!! I do have a plan today to finish shopping for the boys. So, hopefully my plan will come to fruition!

Our arrival date is a week after yours and I swear that I WILL be ready this year. As far as packing goes, I'm getting the list together. I have the spare bedroom set up as the "packing zone" LOL. NO ONE goes in there and touches anything!!

It's not the packing that gets me..it's the getting the house ready before we go that I'm going to get a jump start on. I like the house to be SPOTLESS when we leave so when I get home I don't have to worry about it. I'm usually rushing the last day before we leave to get the cleaning and errands done, making arrangements for the pets etc.

This year my goal is to have everything done a week out. Then all I have to do the last day is last minute things and drop the bunny off at grandmas. The kids will be at school that day so things will probably go smoother.

Isn't it exciting!??

Kelscross, this is exactly what I am talking about. I am a neat nut when getting ready for a trip. I always want the house clean before I leave. I seem to fail at this! I did manage to get my toiletries list done and started pulling it together. I figure if I get the packing organized this will leave me more time to get the house clean!
