still deciding on disneyland hotel vs sheraton or hilton

Either way we want to do something special for our son Zach's 4th birthday when we go in September

Even though we are well seasoned Disneyland travelers - 5 times in 3 years - We are pretty clueless to the birthday thing

Any idea's would be appreciated

There's the Happiest Birthday on Earth at the Plaza Inn. It's probably perfect for kids around that age. I believe it's $10 per person and Mickey and Minnie show up.

Make sure to pick up a birthday sticker at City Hall for him--bring him in with you because he'll get a special birthday phone call.

We stayed at the Grand Californian and had birthday buckets delivered to our room early in the morning for our 2 year old's birthday. We got a Mickey one for him and a Princess one for his 5 yr old sister. They also have a Buzz Lightyear themed one and a Pooh Bear one. They were $22 each and came with a neat bucket, a happy birthday pin and some other stuff (a mickey plush), some paper doll magnets, etc.

You can have them delivered to a restaurant in the park or in one of the hotels.

They also have a $5 bag at Goofy's and the Plaza Inn Birthday party.

This website has some great info and pictures about birthdays in the park.

(if you want the URL you will have to Pm or email me since I am not allowed to post url's yet apparently)

If you are staying at a DLR hotel, then they will give you a birthday button ( rather then the sticker).
