4 Seasons and Contemporary DVC

Hence, why the OP was holding back her laughter. :)

It would be illegal, though not because of "fairness". You can't sell timeshares until a certain % of construction has been completed.

Rest assured, not a single, solitary CRV point has been sold yet. Just another instance of someone talking from their posterior a la Ace Ventura.

A certain % of construction has been completed. They tore down the North Wing. :woohoo:

That's not construction, it's demolition.

Seriously, I think it's something like 70% of the construction on a given unit must be complete before you can sell those units (or points that are part of those units). But I'm not sure if that's the exact % or not...something like that though.

yea - but I think DVC got out of that with AKV - because they were in a building already.

since the CRV would be part of the Cont - they might be able to use the same argument. but then again they didn't with either VWL or BCV....

oh well waiting and watching the building go up - might be fun!!!

it looks like the AKV won't be completed until 2009 - that is just the building - so I would expect sales to continue until 2010 - so CRV would be in 2010 or 2011. - so next year they should start construction - right? someone say here that this building would take 2 years to do - is that still right?

I dont know what you guys are talking about, I already bought a 150 point contract to the Contemporary DVC, they matched my points and doubled them so I got 300 bonus points plus and early purchase 0% financing option for 20 years, they extended my deed to the next century, and I am standing on my balcony right now as we speak looking over the MK. Oh yeah and I paid a little extra to get my own personal monorail cart that comes by my door when ever I want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFL!!!! Call MS now and see if you can get the same deal, that guy who picks up trash on Internation blvd told me about the early purchase, he use to be a cast member at Disney World back in 1901!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, i just had a moment of the sillies, i couldnt resist. LOL

They didn't really "get out of it" with AKV. More than 70% of the construction on the CONVERSION rooms is complete. :) Jambo house was completed, obviously, YEARS ago. They just need to renovate the rooms. It's not 70% of the renovation they need to complete....it's 70% of the total construction. See how that works?

IF CRV did the same thing (ie: converted existing rooms in the tower) to DVC rooms, they could do the same thing. Barring that, they can't sell points for units until they are some % (again, I think it was around 70%) completed.
