4 points in holding??

Is there anything I can do with just 4 points in holding? I had to borrow from next years allotment to make this years reservation. Then we ended up canceling our trip....so that leaves me with 4 points that must be used by Jan. 31. Is there anything I can do with them? I'm not sure how the transfer process works, but can I sell my 4 points to someone then transfer it to them?

Are they holding points or just borrowed points? Holding points come from when you cancel a reservation 30 days or less before arrival. All the points from that stay would be in holding unless you have already rescheduled before the end of the use year.

I don't think you can transfer borrowed points.

Hmmm, we borrowed from next year's use year. We were able to bank all the ones from this year. They said we couldn't bank the ones that were borrowed so they're in holding. So I guess if I can use them before Jan. 31, they don't get lost. Do I have to use them or can I transfer them to someone else??

It sounds like they are just borrowed points, not holding points. As far as I know you cannot transfer borrowed points. If you do not use them before the end of your current UY they will expire.

Sounds like just borrowed points. Holding points come from cancelling a trip 30 days or less before arrival. They cannot be banked and can only be used for a reservation 60 days or less before arrival.

Borrowed points cannot be banked or transferred. They will expire at the end of the current Use Year unles used. With only 4 points, you would need to combine them with other points (also borrowed unless you have any current points remaining) in order to use them as there are no reservations for only 4 points.
