I mentioned on these boards a couple of weeks ago that I just found out i was pregnant. I still haven't been to the doc yet, but my best guess says I will be due July 21-23. We are looking at cruising on the 4 nighter over Thanksgiving . It will be me, DH, and twin DD's age 12 plus baby-about 16 or so weeks. Should I book 2 cat 9's or 1 cat 4 room??? Is there that big of a difference?? Thanks

Personally I'd do the Cat 4 over the 2 Cat 9's.

The verandah will be a welcome escape for you if you end up spending more time in the room than normal due to nap times.

I'm not sure how the pricing would work out but it is worth getting a quote on both just because one may be way more expensive then the other.

Cat 4 --with verandah :D is $2769. Two Cat 9's is $ 2884. I forgot about having a verandah! Cool! -Anyone else's opinion?

While the extra bathroom, space and storage would be nice in the 9, there really is nothing like having a verandah. Have you thought about getting a category 6 and 11? That way you would have the extra space as well as the verandah. My kids stay alone in the category 11 right across the hall from us. On our first cruise, they were 10, 12, and just turned 14. If you're not comfortable with having your DD's alone, one of you can share the stateroom with them and one in the other with the baby. Check into the prices, it may just work out about the same and the category 4.

We just came back from a 3 day in a category 4 with 3 adults and 1 child and found that we had plenty of room. I think you will also have enough room to put some type of pack and play for your infant to sleep. The verandah was great. My mom loved it so much she tried sleeping out on it one night. She was sound asleep until about 2:00 a.m. when the ship decided to wash itself and her too! She just got a little wet but she was sure disappointed that the verandah couldn't be her own private bedroom. I've only stayed in a category 4 but I thought it was well worth it

i would go for a category 4 definately. with a baby that small you might even have him/her sleep in your bed, to save pack n' play space.

We had a cat 5 with our 19 month old son. After he was in bed, we could sit out and enjoy the balcony. I would have gone crazy with out it.

With your twins being older, I would go with the 2 cat. 9's. We were a party of 5 in a cat. 4 (DDs ages 9, 6 and 2) and I felt a little crowded. I booted my older girls out on the veranda in the mornings when I was getting ready, because I felt claustrophobic. Having an extra connecting stateroom means an extra bathroom and an extra TV!
