The Cast... Myself, DH, 2 DSs 3 & 6, and our neighbors, 2 adults, and 2 DSs, 4 & 6. We stayed at ASMO and were very happy there. The other couple hadnt been in 17 years and their kids had never gone, so they wanted to do whatever I planned...no pressure there. ;)

Thursday 8/28

Today was EE at The Magic Kingdom. We arrived at 7:45 and before we knew it we were making a beeline to Dumbo. That was followed by the Carrousel, Peter Pan, It’s a Small World, (FPs for Pooh), the Speedway(15 minute wait, which was growing quickly), and the Tea Cups. We then went to the Bake Shop for breakfast. I highly recommend the French Toast Loaf there...YUM! We noticed it was our FP return time so while the rest of us finished breakfast we sent our "runner", DH (aka Speedy) to get FPs for Buzz. By 10:30 we had gone back and ridden Pooh and were now headed to Toon Town. Our first observation was the car in front of Pete’s garage is gone. :( This was always a great photo op for us. (DH and 1 of the neighbors DSs are both named Peter) We rode Goofy’s Barnstormer, and walked through Mickey & Minnie’s houses. It amazes me how much the kids enjoy the detail in the houses. By now it was our FP time for Buzz, so while we walked through the houses, DH went ahead to Tomorrow Land and got us FPs for Space Mt. We then met up in front of Buzz and rode that. The kids saw TTA, which they had already ridden Monday night, but they wanted to do that again. So, while we waited for our Space MT FP time to come around, we went for a spin on that. After doing the child swap on Space Mt (only 1 kid rode it), we decided we had done enough and wanted to take a break. When we started to leave, it began raining on us. As I turned the corner heading to Main St I saw a meet & greet with Buzz, with a very short line. We went to that and luckily it was undercover. Buzz had to take a 2 minute break, but it worked out well. By the time we got our pictures, the downpour was over and we were on our way, in the sun again. It was about 12:30

After a quick snack and pool break, we all washed up and we headed to Downtown Disney, arriving there around 5:00. We got off the bus at the Marketplace and shopped along as we worked our way down toward the West Side. The kids had a blast at the Lego Store. We made it to Planet Hollywood by 6:30 for our 6:45 PS. We checked in and they had our table ready for us. After hearing many bad reviews about PH, I was worried about my choice of eating here, but we all had a great meal. After dinner we headed back to the Marketplace to visit a few of the shops we missed, and then we called it a night.

vegetarian (haha) and enjoyed it .....our son in law got the portabella mushroom sandwich which looked as big as our burgers......thanks again for your day

Oh my goodness, Pumba! :D
When I asked for opinions on my dining choices on the boards, I was told over and over how bad PH was and how the kids wouldnt enjoy it, etc... We had eaten there in 95 & 98 and enjoyed it so I was willing to give it a shot. Plus knowing its loud in there was a definite plus with our group. I think not expecting much, made it that much better, LOL! And the kids loved the music, they were singing along and everything. The only problem we had was 1 kid didnt like Cousin It behind him on the wall, but he got over it quick. ;)

Wonderful trip reports ~ Thanx for sharing!!
