4 Nights - Which Disney Hotel?

Did I mention ur name?? It was a generic post which whenever resorts are mentioned AKL always seems to get a rough deal in that people in general say its "too far out". Iv stayed 3 times and it is stunning.

It certainly is stunning, just too far out just kidding!

I agree that DTD is a trek from AKL on the bus but you can't have everything.

I'd happily stay there with my DD now. She'd adore it.

But I think contemporary is a great call. It really depends how you want to spend your 4 days. Will it be all theme park or do you want to ease yourself into the time zone and enjoy your resort etc?

Also pickers - yes if you're going to MK from YC it'll only stop at BC but on the way home it'll stop at S/D/BW and then YC. The only downside to those resorts. We did love it though and walking to EPCOT and DHS was great as is the whole resort area.

We did the monorail to/from MK a few times (stayed at BW for 13 nights) but that doesn't help if you're doing rope drop and it also takes a lot longer than you think. Plus extra bag check etc.

Only used bus once whole trip(14 nights) and that was too and from mk. Definitely only stopped at yc before BC and same on way out. This was mid feb 2014. Can anyone else confirm?

My choice would be Beach Club. I just love being able to walk into Epcot or to DS. The pool is great and I love the beach itself. I like AK and it's style and charm but find the bus to anywhere just a bit too far. We've also stayed at FQ and OKW and there's no doubt you would have a ball at any of them. We've not stayed at CR but it is a great suggestion, being able to walk into MK. So many choices and we all have our favourites. The fact is that whatever you decide will be just perfect I'm sure.

Forgot to say that I never was aware of the bus stopping frequently at lots of other resorts when returning to BC.

I second the Beach or Yacht club - if you are staying for 4 nights you can get to 2 of the Parks really easily and get the bus to the other 2.

However if MK is the park you will be spending most time at I would also consider Contemporary and BLT

Lots to think about..

AKL, POFQ and Boardwalk area all sound great and have just what we need for a fab family trip. So will look into those further...

Although I am going to check my sums as recommendations for the Contemporary look good too.. Also would gives me an excuse to visit the California Grill
