We have a rental car on the first day we arrival at Aulani very early. We want to go the the resort and relax for a couple hour before going buy groceries. We are going to buy three drink cup at Aulani. Will the purchase of the drink cup count for the parking validation

Thanks
Stephen

Are you not keeping the car overnight? If you are keeping the car overnight, the overnight charges will cover parking for the day of check-in and check-out.

They gave us a free card for checking in (room not available hours later) and we didn't have to pay. But then we're DVC member, so not sure if that will work for you. Why not send them an email and ask?

The drink cups would count towards your validation.... If you are parking the vehicle when you check in, you would get the same offer of free valet while you are checking in. Just tell the valet that you are looking to check-in but not looking to park your vehicle overnight.
If your room is not ready when you get to the resort, are you still thinking of hanging out for a couple hours? Just something to think about.
There is a good chance your room won't be ready if you are arriving at the hotel before 1pm. I would still recommend checking in early, just don't be surprised if your room is not ready.

We almost always stop on the way to the resort (we stay at the Marriott Ko Olina right next to Aulani) and get enough at Target to hold us over the first night. Then the next day, we go to Costco (and usually back to Target) for a bigger grocery run. But, we keep a car the whole time we're there. I wouldn't ever not have a car there!

Once we get to the resort, if the room isn't ready, they can keep your things that are cold or frozen in a fridge or freezer for you.

We're just too tired after that long flight (we come from Maryland) to go back out, so like to do this if possible. Once we did go check in, and while my DH was swimming with the kids, I went back to Target to buy our stuff. I was beyond tired! But that year we didn't even bring toiletries (just brought carry on bags) so I needed to get shampoo, toothpaste, etc... plus bottled water, breakfast foods, lunch foods, beer, booze, wine, juice, milk, etc... Nice thing is the bell services have huge bins to fit all the grocery bags in, so it was easy for them to haul it all up to the villa.

This next trip I need to remember, Target does NOT have free bags. Bring reusable shopping bags! The new law went into effect last year that banned plastic bags of a certain thickness on Oahu.

Can someone tell me how the refillable drink cup and parking pass works? Also how much is the refillable cup? Thanks!
