I just checked wait times while playing on MDE, and the current stated wait time, at noon on a non-vacation week Tuesday, is 4 hours. That's insane. Would anyone actually get in that line? I have to wonder what the wait time for FP people is...

I wouldn't get in that line, but it is Spring Break for many people... I expect high wait times this week and next.

A "non-vacation" week?
You may want to check the calendar again. Easter week tends to be one of the more crowded weeks of the year.

That's why I take my kids out of school to go. Would never go during spring break.

This is crowd level 9 day, and Epcot is the park to avoid. I wouldn't have even tried the park.

MK waits look pretty good right now.

It's Easter week, this is expected. It's crazy, my husband works at DHS and every CM from DHS has to park at Epcot and take a bus over to leave all the parking spots open to guests

There is no way I'd get in that line. I'd have a nervous breakdown :lmao: I absolutely love Soarin', but are you kidding me. Not to mention the queue is boring as well. WOW

Oh, our spring break is next week, I assumed most schools were the same! Makes me feel a little better, glad I'm not there!

I've never heard of Soarin' lines that long, but I looked and you are correct. I'm wondering if there may have been an outage earlier that has everything backed up. My experience lately is that Soarin' and Test Track lines seem to be pretty close and TT is at 110 minutes...that's no picnic either.

Anyway, this is a *huge* vacation week. I imagine crowd levels are at 9 or 10 and I see Epcot is EMH tonight, so probably not a good day to go there today.

This is Spring break for our district, so wouldn't say it's a non-vacation week. I'd say its actually one of the busiest weeks of the year with Good Friday and Easter in it.

I also don't think the line is really 4 hours. Its rare that the time posted is the actual time of a wait. I'm sure it's still really long...more like 3? And the only way I'd ever wait for something like that was if I knew I'd never ever have another chance of riding in my life.

A couple of people beat me to it. It's the week of Easter. Columbus City Schools in Ohio are on spring break along with my sisters kids in Jamestown, OH. Most years, this is the 3rd busiest week of the year right after the 2 weeks around Christmas. With Easter being so late, it's not going to be quite as bad but it's still going to be crazy. BTW, Touring plan was projecting 3 hour waits most of the day. EasyWDW has this park as the only to avoid today.

Having been there NYE, I can honestly say NO I wouldn't get in a 4 hour line for Soarin' or TT, or anything else at WDW for that matter. But, I have waited the 20 minutes for Figment and 35 minutes for Seas with Nemo currently being displayed.

I wouldn't be surprised to see reports of park closures due to capacity later in the week. I was at a conference the week of Easter a few years ago, staying at the Hyatt or something like that (can't remember) and the parks were closing left and right due to capacity and it wasn't even the Disney parks - all of them. No thanks....

Yea wish we were there-we usually are but to much work and too many summer plans this year.

Easter week is always super busy. Any time you see MK hours posted at 7AM to 1AM all week-you know it's busy.

It's up to 28 degrees right now and sunny, WDW is 84 degrees and sunny.

This was always our dilemma with FP-, 6 months of winter then you can be in 80 degree weather for 1 week. Shirt sleeve golf and fishing mornings, SAB and the beach-Disney parks and night shows every night-a glorious vacation-now with a few FP's we would never get and 4 hour waits.

We have seen the wait time that high once, and it was during Thanksgiving week.

Generally, we don't balk at lines, but we definitely chose to not wait in that one! :scared1:

I'm not sure I'd want to be "there" but I would take being at the MK. I was looking at MDE and as of right now, the Tier 1 FP+ left are Maelstrom and Meet Mickey. Test Track, Soarin, and Illuminations are booked solid. Over at DHS, RnR extremely limited availability but TSMM and Fantasmic are booked solid. And people wonder why prebooking has tiers at Epcot and DHS. MK on the other hand had almost all 3 mountain, enchanted tale with bell, amongst other things still available.

Do people exist who would pay $75-$100 for a day at Disney and spend perhaps HALF of their day on one five minute ride??????

Is the park to avoid the one w/ extra hours?

And yeah, we're going in May, taking daughter out of school to avoid some of the crowds.

EVER wait in a line that long. However, our line max is 30 minutes and it better be something we REALLY want to ride to wait 30 minutes (like Splash Mountain, Everest or Tower of Terror). I'll sit at the resort pool and have a drink or three before waiting in that sort of line.
