4 Hot Mamas take on the World 9/2011! *UPDATE 8/31* I'm leaving TODAY!!!

Aaw love the pic of you and DH - you are right in that your DD is very good at photography! Start saving for the expensive camera requests! :rotfl:

Did you make the Disney tie-dye shirts? I like them. We need to make some matching shirts for our trip. You and Angie should come down for a tshirt weekend :thumbsup2

No, I didn't make the tees... I'm not that talented ;) I actually found them on Etsy! I bought tees for Shane and I, and tank tops for the girls. I'll have to post a pic of them in their shirts. I had thought about getting the same colors for the 4 of us, but ended up going with different colors for each.

I mentioned to Angie about coming down for tee shirt-making... she's all for it! I guess we just need to get together and decide on a date...

I love the Vera Tote! It's nice to see one that goes with everything!
Those flip flops look interesting. I'm not sure how that bump would feel in the middle. I too am interested in your opinion of them
Your less than 60 days will FLY!

That's a great photo that your Dd took :thumbsup2
Your time is getting short, you can now say 'next month I head to Disney'!

Cute pic and shirts!

Thanks!

I'm liking the flip-flops! The "bump" is a little strange at first, but what I've found that I need to get used to the most is how thick the sole is. I guess I'm just used to wearing cheap flip-flops with barely a 1/2" sole, so these feel like I'm wearing platform shoes, LOL!

And I can't believe how close my trip is! But on the other hand, it still feels far away. I guess I'm at that stage of planning, where there isn't really anything left to do but wait...

And wait...

And wait...

Marked "new shoes" and "new sunglasses" off my list!

- new shoes to wear in parks DONE
- new bag for parks DONE
- new tote bag to carry on plane DONE
- haircut & color (well, definitely the color... not sure yet about the cut or if I should just let my hair keep growing out)
- manicure/pedicure
- pack luggage
- buy park tickets DONE
- final check of park hours and itineraries
- new sunglasses DONE

And...

I'm so excited, I was able to book the Tomorrowland Terrace Wishes Dessert Party for our MK day! I've been waiting and waiting (and waiting...) for September dates to open up and noticed today they finally were available. Heather, Helen, and I are going to surprise Mom with the Dessert Party for her birthday! :cake:

I've already said it but :woohoo: on booking the Dessert Party for your mom's birthday!! What a treat! :thumbsup2

Also congrats on being able to tick two more things off the list!

Love the dress and the shirts! Etsy is evil, in a very good way.... I really have to avoid that website like the plague when I'm saving for Disney.... :goodvibes

I have Haviannas for flip-flops.... love them, but for serious rope-drop-park-powerwalking, I have two pairs of Merrells for that. :)

Let us know what you think of the ones you got once you wear them for awhile, I might have to get a pair next year!

Thanks! I hope you can get it booked for your trip! :goodvibes

Yay for booking the dessert party! I bet your mom will LOVE it!

I think she will, too! I added to the reservation the note that we're celebrating her birthday... I know the table will have our name on it, but I'm hoping they will add some confetti or something special. But if not, that's ok... the event will be a great surprise!

Oh, I have a love/hate relationship with Etsy! If only money grew on trees... :rolleyes1

The Orthaheel flip flops are great... I've not had any problems so far. They do take some getting used to at first, but I think they will work just fine!

Here's a photo from the Lights! Motors! Action! stunt show at DHS:

We didn't get a chance to see this on our '07 trip, so last year I made sure we did (especially since DH was looking forward to it) I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the show... we all enjoyed it!

What's your favorite show at DHS?

I'm glad you enjoyed it! We missed the Stunt show on our trip too. DH really wanted to see it to, so it's on our "must do" list for next trip!! The last show was starting while we were in line for TSM. ;)

Congrats on getting the dessert party for you Mom's birthday!!:cool1: That is awesome!! I'm hoping to be able to book one during our trip in October, time will tell I guess.

Favorite show in DHS?! I would have to say the Jedi Training one when my ds was in it!! I'm looking forward to the Indiana Jones one this year.

Yay, I'm pleased to hear you all enjoyed LMA! :thumbsup2

I found out through Mickey_Mom that Lightening McQueen will be now taking part in the show so can't wait to see it as well as all the other shows at DHS! Will let you know if I have a favourite after I have seen them all.

Cool pic! That is one show we are looking forward to getting to see, especially my 8 year old son.

Great picture of you guys, talented child! Love that feeling of ticking things off the list and getting them done. This summer is flying by already, the trip is fast approaching.
