Is this a new rule that you have to be 4 for the Mickey slide? https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/faq/onboard-activities/pool-restrictions/

I did not remember seeing that before and of course already told my 3 year old she would be able to go on it. We are cruising on Monday and she will not turn 4 until November. However, she is almost tall enough for the AquaDuck. I need to remeasure her but this summer she was 41.5". Would be crazy if she was tall enough to ride the AquaDuck, but not old enough for the Mickey slide.

Age was not a requirement last week. Other than that anyone under age 7 or 8 (?) had to ride with someone that is older - I think it could be a teenager.
Can't think of exact age.

I will say though, weight SHOULD be. On our cruise many, many children that were riding without an adult (for example two young girls riding together) got stuck inside the tube and had to be rescued.
They were simply too light to have any momentum. Each time the ride was down for over an hour when this happened and it happened several times. Very frustrating for everyone I assure you!

Oh and everything I wrote regards the Aquaduck. The Mickey slide is something different. You are using both terms, but it sounds like you meant the Aquaduck. They are not the same ride.

I am pretty sure the 4 to 14 age requirement for Mickeys slide has always been that range.

Aquaduck height requirement is 42 inches and the child would be riding with someone else in the raft.
The Mickey slide is body propelled and there is no raft and the water doesn't move around the riders to propel them like the Aquaduck propels the raft.
Perhaps this is the reason for the difference in age requirements.

No, I was talking about both. I already told my daughter she is not tall enough to ride the AquaDuck, but that she could ride the Mickey slide. However, it seems she could possibly be tall enough for the AquaDuck but not old enough for the Mickey slide. Just pointing out that it was funny that Aquaduck only has a height requirement, but Mickey slide has a height and age requirement.

The age requirement is probably because they go down alone on the Mickey slide. With the Aquaduck they ride with someone else, so if they freak out there is someone there.

That said... (And I don't have kids so I can't say for sure) I don't know if the cast member will be asking each child how old they are - possibly if they look little/young. So she *might* be able to "get away with it" IF they do not ask.

My (small) 4 year old went on the Mickey Slide 8,000 times in March. I do not recall any rules about age, and I certainly don't recall any CM asking how old he was...and he could easily be mistaken for a 3 year old (was shorter then than your 3 year old is no, for example).

I will say that there's a bunch of time when the kids are in line on the slide (if there's a line) where you can lose track of them. I didn't have a problem with this -- where else would he be? -- but a woman next to me was freaking out that her child, who looked even smaller than mine, was up there alone.

That age requirement is likely because it requires maturity to use the slide alone.

My 3.75 yo old was on the Mickey slide at least 20 times last week. They only cared that she was tall enough.

If anyone was curious we just got off the Dream yesterday. I asked a cast member the first day about the age rule, he smiled and said she was plenty tall enough. She must have rode it 30 times and I never saw anyone questioned. However, my 9 and 10 year old boys were not allowed to ride it. I was fine with this as it keeps the line shorter for the little ones.
