Wasn't the BWV a 210 point contract?

Hi

DH and I entertained by the thread here, we were the happy purchasers of the OKW 60 points that closed last night (Tuesday)!!!! Glad to see you weren't too slanderous about that one versus some of the others you mentioned :goodvibes

Very excited, as this is the exact number of points that we can afford at this time.

Curious if we will be able to get by the ROFR at just under $77/point. Does anyone know what the breaking point seems to be for getting past the ROFR for Old Key West these days?

Good vibrations everywhere at our house!!!

The danger for a seller on EBAY is deadbeat buyers or confused buyers that bail out at the last minute. This would be offset by no closing costs. There really isn't much incentive for a buyer to use EBAY as a low bid will be swooped up by ROFR.

The first sale (and I had actually offered him $75 for his 50 BWV points before he listed on EBAY) was the one where the buyer really got screwed.
Someone said it ended at $120 a point and while that MAY have included closing costs this particular seller stated that he also expected the buyer to pay transfer fee and ROFR fee normally paid by seller ($220!!! more)

I guess buyers really do have to beware!

Inga: because its only 60 points, your $76 isn't a bad deal at all. Especially if you use the suggested closer for $250 cause most resale brokers have you use the $450-$500 closers!!!! You should easily get by ROFR. Were there any 2004 or 2005 points on the contract? THat would make it an even better deal but as you said, finding these low point contracts isn't easy. If someone is selling 600 points at $60 a point...that's a grand deal, but not if you can't afford $36,000!!!! WELCOME TO DVC INGA

And here I sit, still waitingwaiting waiting to pass ROFR...poor me! :confused3

Hi ColoradoBelle1

Thank you for your comments. There are 15 2004 points of which we will probably lose as they are banked points (April 1 is our year). All of 2005 points are intact as well as 2006...
