4 more days to go and I can't wait!!!!! Any last minute advice for a first time Disney Cruiser?

Go to the Sail Away party and only do what you want to. Relax, have a great time, Find Joval at the Goofy Pool Bar and ask for a Coconut Java. Walk the deck at night. Have two of every dessert. Order cookies and mickey bars from room service.

I agree about finding Joval! We just got off the Magic last Saturday and he was one of my favorite CMs. You won't find him at the goffy pool. He's at the Cove Cafe now. Be CERTAIN to ask for a "Black Magic" and tell him "Mrs Holly" says hello!

One other suggestion is to bring a night light for the bathroom. The light switch is outside the bathroom door so it's hard on the eyes in the middle of the night!

Have a GREAT time!!!

Relax and have fun. Remember that you can't do everything the first time (that's why we've booked numbers 11 and 12!)

Relax, have a great vacation, and don't sweat the small stuff. Take lots of pictures for years of reminders. And everything else The Wog already mentioned.

tekel89....we are on the MAGIC this Sat ! I can't believe I'm saying THIS Sat !! I'm really trying to be "good" and not pack too much. Two things I aleays bring is a sm can of room deo and a sm can of wrinkle release spray. We have 8 adults going and 5 children ( my grandchildren ). I can hardly wait !! Oh, I also bring xtra batteries...they're so expensive on the ship.Let's have the greatest cruise ever !!! See you around the ship ! Virginia:thewave: :thewave: :thewave:

Our cruise leaves THIS SUNDAY, and I can't believe I'm saying this week either. We're taking our adult son and 13 YO GS. We're leaving THIS THURSDAY (July 8) to spend a few days at the Poly. I'm packing--I know I'm over packing. Things seem to be jumping into the suitcase--I know I should leave half of the things home, but I don't know which half. I'll take everyone's advice and RELAX and ENJOY. We've been planning this for a year. Can't wait, can't wait!!! Thanks for all the help during our year of planning. These boards have been a wonderful source of info!!!

tekel89 & Virginia - we will be on the 7/10 cruise as well! Myslef, dh & dd 15. This is also our first cruise on DCL. Please join us in the Promenade lounge for a dismeet at 3pm. We changed the time on our cruise meets thread. We will all have a fabulous time!:sunny: See you on Saturday.

Judy:smooth:

We leave this Sunday too- 1st timers.
I've worked myself into such a dither. What to pack , what not to, I pack a little walk away, walk back 5 minutes later, look, rearrange and this is just my stuff:crazy:
Now I'm going to try and listen to advice from above posters. If I screw up, so what relax and enjoy and hopefully there will be a next time and a next time....

Agree with it all. I also took along a lighted clock so I could see what time it was when I woke up. Lots of film and extra batteries--don't forget the waterproof cameras!

 Hi Judy ! Getting excited ? we are !! We'll look for you at 3pm if we're not tied up with the grandchildren It's their 1st Disney Cruise ,too, and they're thrilled ! Are you flying in the day before? We'll be at the Raddison. Have a WONDERFUL cruise !!!We've been on 6 cruise lines and Disney is the best !!::MickeyMo

To avoid regrets, become very familiar with your daily "Navigator." Don't overbook yourself but do try some things that you are interested in. If you enjoy the "sauna" experience, I highly recommend the "rainforest." Try it for one day and see if you like it. It was one of the highlights of our last cruise for me. Also, the excursions usually offer a great day trip for port days. DON'T FORGET TO SHARE YOUR TRIP WITH US WHEN YOU RETURN! Have a blast!

Hi Virginia, I can't wait!:bounce: I'm driving my dh crazy with all my last minute purchases. I'm probably bringing too much - I always do.

We leave on Friday night from CT and arrive in Orlando about 10:30 pm. I wish we could leave earlier in the day, but dh has to work.:( How about you?

I hope we meet you at 3:00. I'm looking forward to putting faces to all of these disnames!:teeth:

See you on Saturday.
Judy

::MickeyMo Don't forget the lanyards. If I make one more trip to Walmart, I'm dead ! But couldn't resist these $ .97 lanyards to hold the KTTW card & photo ID. Also, I have one carry on size bag that I'm checking that holds all our non-clothing items.

Judy....we get into Orlando at 2pm on Friday and we'll all be at the Raddison.Did you sign up for any tours. We are doing the St Thomas island tour & shopping ; Orient Beach on our own in St Maarten : watercraft ( jet ski ) eco-tour at 10:30 at Castaway Cay.How about you ?::MinnieMo

Don't forget to pack LOTS of film and if you are taking a digital camera or camcorder, remember to take along a power strip. There aren't many outlets in the cabins.

Have a super trip!! Make lots of special memories!! Please bring us all back a trip report!! HAVE FUN!!!!:wave2:

Hi Virginia, the lanyards are packed,.:p but DD (15) wants to buy the DCL one when we embark. I've been shopping daily for last minute items.

DD and I hope to go to Orient Beach also, but she wants to find out if there's room on the dolphin excursion before we make our final decision. We are planning to go on our own with Pam and her DD, whom we met on these boards. DH is going on a sailboat excursion. In St. Thomas, DH & DD are kayaking and I'm taking the St. John tour. Right now we just plan to relax on CC. DD will probably book the Wild Side.

I can't believe we are leaving tomorrow!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc
