We leave on Saturday.

I have confirmed our Goofy's Kitchen PS.
I have confirmed our hotel, and requested a non-smoking room.
Airline schedule still looks the same.
I will go to the vet today and leave a credit card on file in case of any problems with the pets while we are gone (my mother is pet-sitting my spoiled rotten animals).
I have reserved and confirmed transportation with Gray Line to Universal and Knotts.

On Friday I will reserve PS at ESPN Zone for Monday (what time do you think it will be least busy?? I am thinking 3:30pm-ish...).

Anything I should not forget to bring with us?

I have a daily agenda written down, various printed pages from the DIS boards (fastpass info, magic morning info, penny presses).

Does this sound okay? I am scared I am going to forget something. I want things to go as smoothly as possible!

Also : Guest Relations. My son has Autism, and I know I can go here to request a quieter place to wait in line in case he has a meltdown. How will they recognize that we may have problems (the CM in charge of the ride line)? Also, will this be good for the entire time we are at Disneyland (Is it also good for California Adventure, or do we need to go to their Guest Relations also?) or will we need to go back each day we are at the parks?

Thanks so much. I am just giddy with excitement (and DH is slowly catching up, and DS is just about as giddy as I am)!

Oh - and how many pictures (average) do you end up taking? I am trying to figure out if I should get another card for the camera. (Our camera holds approx. 450 pictures).

It sounds like you are forgetting to breathe! You will have a spectacular time!

You are very prepared and ready. It will be great, just not perfect. I always over plan and then have to tell myself to relax and stay in the moment. Not worry about anything I can't control at that moment. :rolleyes1

I don't know about guest relations and an autistic child, perhaps someone who knows more can answer that question.

We always seem to take a gazillion pictures. But, 450 sounds about right. Do you have spare batteries or your battery charger??? We ran out of battery power in the middle of the night time parade. And no spare batteries! And if you don't want another card - do you have a way to download your pictures to clear your card at night? (Laptop perhaps? or Lobby computer?)

Have a great time!! Enjoy your family time together! Remember to breathe in and out! :wizard:

Call your credit card companies and tell them the days you will be away at DL so they dont put a hold on your card for someone using it a greater distance away from where you usually are.

We plan on using the cards very little, if at all, and using cash for most things. But good idea, just in case!!

I am breathing. I am breathing. I am breathing. (Insert deep breath here, LOL).
:cutie:

Thanks!!

We took well over 1200 pictures on our 10 day trip - that's not counting all the Photopass pictures!! Of course, we're always snapping pictures! I'd make sure you have an extra card, extra batteries - just in case!

Have fun! Sounds good!

And I don't know anything about the special passes - but I do believe they do it for your entire length of stay and it's good at both DL and DCA.

Yah I usually come home from 8 days in the park with about 1100 pictures not including the photo pass thing. I would say look into another memory card before you go if you want to take more then that, or if you have a lap top take that with you and upload your pictures nightly.

the SAP will be good for your entire stay as well as in DCA it is a great help....we get one for our 17 yr old(he has CP and is deaf and autistic)
but above all else have fun!! we leave on sunday, driving down from washington state and i know how you feel im in panic mode trying to get everything washed up and packed plus work and do household stuff... i am really gonna need this vacation:)

Thanks!

How do they know he has a pass? Is there some way to identify him? Will they come up to us and ask about the pass?

We are flying from PDX (we also live in WA - on the coast) on Saturday.

Can't wait!!

you will have a paper pass that some ask to see some dont but i always had it handy....
we are in kelso about 40 miles north of vancouver/portlandand i love to drive and even with gas prices so high it is still cheaper with a hotel stay on the way down than flying for our family of 4 and thank goodness for the laptop the teenies(15DD & 17DS) can watch dvd's all the way down... this year at the last min. my hubby had to bail on us boss needs him that week so my wonderful mommy is going to join my kiddies and i for our week in (MY) paradise:) keep an eye out for us we wont be hard to miss son(he is in my avatar pic) will be in a wheelchair me n my DD are on the larger side and my lil bitty momma who i look nothing like...have a blast our first day in the park will be mon 3/31

:rotfl2: It sounds to me like you've got it all taken care of.

Nothing left to do now but relax, enjoy the moments, make some memories and just have fun. ;)
