We want to stay at the Toy story hotel. We don’t mind switching hotels to a non-Disney hotel on that 1 day off.

I agree with the pp that moving would be a hassle. I would just stay at the toy story hotel the whole time if you are planning on staying there before and after your day off. If you are going into Tokyo on your day off it's not a big deal to take the train to Maihaima station and then into Tokyo.
