Just got back from balz to the walz Dis trip with 2 couples, w/7 kids left behind.

We spoiled ourselves at Poly on the Platinum. If you don't know Platinum, get to know it, it was awesome. No, we really couldn't afford it, but Yes we did it anyway. We'll work out the payment plan later... just kidding. There were so many treats and extras we had no idea about that other than a soaking wet golf course on friday, everything except sleeping was accomplished.
We fit in:
Downtown Disney to expand our Potato Head Collection, I believe it is now complete!
La Portobella - The Gulf Shrimp Sambuvca was amazing
La Cirque - Incredible

And that was day 1 after arriving at 1pm.

Our room at Hawaii was a dream with Concierge was a surprise as we've only ever dome All-Stars, and didn't realize that platinum was concierge.

Day 2

Golf at Magnolia for the guys, horseback riding for the girls.
golf was good, my buddy even birdied the Mickey Sandtrap hole. The only negatives were the course was soaked from the rain the prev. day. and the course while nice, wasn't Disney nice.
Then we headed to MK for some rides before a late dinner at the Yauchtman. Dinner here was fab. and they gave me a special b-day card signed by characters. After that a walk to Epcott for EMH and a ride on soaring, test track and Spaceship earth the some sleep.

day 3
more golf at Osprey, better course and buddy got to pick the pin placement with a certificate on th ehole and the girls went to the spa. we met for lunch at Kona then afternoon on SeaRaycers
Dinner was at Vic & Al's. Definately an experience. 3 1/2 hrs of strange looking but delicious food. to be cont.

after V& A's we missed our cruise so we did a little shopping and headed to change. then it was off to the comedy show. Pretty good show, got a little long and hokey but overall OK. Took a little stroll around DDis thenback to pack and oh yeah sleep!!

Up til 2 packing so we could check out before taking off for some tours at 8:30am.

Took Around the world on Segways and this was the coolest thing I've ever done. Definately worth the loss of sleep. Having the Worlds to ourselves was great (actually there were 8 of us on tour).
Then we took Behind the Seeds (my wifes idea) was cool but I could've skipped it.
We then rushed over to ride Yeti. and Dino. Mission accomplished.
We made it back to the resort by 3:30. got a bite to eat for the airport, a Magic Express at 4:15pm . Vacation Over.

We did cram a lot in but even though I'm still a zombie here on tues. It was worth it. Next time (whenever that it) We will be able to slow down a bit, but DW and I wanted to take full advantage since we were kidless this time and had all this stuff we could do that we may not be able to budget when we come with all the kids.

Platinum Rocks, you have to try it.

Did you have to pay extra for Victoria and Alberts?

Well if by extra, you mean out of pocket then no, but to upgrade from premium to platinum was $300 more total for my DW and I. That got us dinner at V & Al'S, plus 2 Spa treatments which my wife used. They were a facial and a 45 min massage. The dinner receipt from V & Al'S was 368.00 (minus 17.50 for drinks) and the Spa stuff would have been I think another 125.00. So by upgrading to plat. we got this plus treated like royaly. With concierge and also taking the SeaRaycers we were told that on premium you get a free 45min's, when the attendant saw we were on platinum he said take as much time as we wanted, and if it ran out of gas come back and get another. Also there are some tours that you opnly get on plat, plus better seats for fireworks.

I'll be adding some more detail as I recover.
