Hello,

I just returned last Sunday from my first 4 day Wonder Cruise and I would like to thank everyone for all of the information on this board. My husband was very impressed with all of my knowledge. I just thought that I would give a few of my opinions broken down.

First Cabin:

Cat. 11 6089
small but functional
good location
little noise

Crew:

Wonderful!! Everyone very nice and helpful.

Shows:

Only saw 2 Hurcules and Disney Dreams. Disney Dreams GREAT! Hurcules just so so!

Food:

Good. I just wish they had a lilttle more boring food. JMHO

Soda Mug:

Useless! It only held half a can of soda and you had to go to the bar to get it refilled and it took for ever. If they had bar codes on them like a WDW it world be much better.

Ports:

Nassau went to Blue Lagoon Beach. Very pretty, great snorkeling, food just OK.

I hit the submit button before I finished.

Freeport, kayaking was a very nice excursion. The only thing is that it said on the paperwork that there would be snorkeling and there was not any snorkeling just swimming in the ocean which was fine with us but I think a few people were a little disappointed. Oh and the lunch consisted of a sandwich and a cookie.

Castaway Cay: What can I say but beautiful. We did the family beach snorkeling early and it was a little cloudy, the adult beach was much better a lot clearer. I think I could live there.

All in all a GREAT cruise and we will be doing it again. When I don't know.

Any questions please ask, I will try to help if I can.

wondering about blue lagoon:
did you go over there on your own or book through DCL? Did you snorkel/swim with the stingrays?? Tell me more about that. We are on the 10/24-27 and will be going to Nassau and heard its best to go to Blue Lagoon or else stay on theship. I want to snorkel with the stingrays (actually I wanted my twin DD -10) to do the dolphin encounter, but its booked- so second choice is snorkel with stingrays). But I am just so unsure on going there on our own and trying to save a little money that way, or will it just be much easier and less hastle by booking through DCL, so let me know which one you did- "just" snorkel or did you see where the stingray swim is at least?? thanks!

Can you explain more in detail about the kayaking excursion and what you did on it. We are thinking about doing it on our 4nt cruise.

Thanks

Blue Lagoon: We went through Disney. We didn't swim with the stingrays but we did go to there snorkeling area. It hads a lot of rocks so there are a ton of fish to see. If you do go with the Disney excursion you can add the swim with the stingrays, I am not sure how much this costs. It is a 2 minute walk from the main swim lagoon. I liked Blue Lagoon, because you do not have vendors asking you if you want to buy somthing constantly. I don't think you will be disapointed if you choose to go.

The Kayaking in Freeport was very nice. You take a bus to a shopping center and there you are met by the people in charge of the excursion. They are very nice and friendly. They split you into groups and take you to the area you are going to kayak at. On the trip over the guide tells you a little about the island. You get a quick going over on how to paddle through and then you go for about an hour. The guides are keeping an eye on everyone in case they need any help navigating. After this you take a little walk to a beach and they have a lunch area set up with sandwiches and drinks. That is it for the lunch. You can swim for about an hour. There wasn't any snorkeling but the water was nice. You are then split into groups again for about an hours walk through the different eco systems, you stop a lot along the way so it is not a tiring walk. There are 2 caves you look into not walk through and they tell about that too. Our guide was very good and knew everything about the nature of the island.

It was a little pricey but a once in a lifetime thing and we enjoyed it very much.

Thanks for the info on the kayaking. My dh-to-be and I seakayak and were curious about the excursion as well. Sounds like it might not be too bad after all.

One more question, did you have time to do anything else in Freeport or did the excursion take up your entire day? That's the only thing holding us up on selecting it. We still wanted to see something of Freeport just because it's there!

Thanks!
